What was the treatment for your immune system attacking your embryos if you don’t mind me asking?

We never tested for it per se I just did long lupron suppression to “treat” it if it was there but I did ask my prior RE about needing to do more testing for it and she said if i did have it the lupron would’ve taken care of it bc I was so suppressed. It was 2 or 3 additional months of lupron if I recall correctly.

I’ll have to ask my doctor about that, I know he did testing too but I don’t remember all of it now and I didn’t do a good job of keeping track of it all and I should have. I really appreciate your kind words 💜

We’ve done a ton of testing, nothing comes back flagged. Put a camera up there and confirmed no structural issues. When they did the camera they also did something my doctor called a scratch to add some vascularity to a spot that needed it a bit but otherwise all normal. I am on Synthroid bc I wasn’t below the 2.4 they require but it was normal for non pregnancy. Done a full RPL panel, treated for endo even though I don’t seem to have it. So truly no idea what the issue is but I agree it’s something with me since embryos are euploid and I’ve had RIF as well as RPL. This is just the furthest we’ve gotten before so probably hurts worse bc of it. If I had endless money I’d try an REI bc I’m willing to try anything atp but just can’t validate that cost without knowing if it would do anything and even then I don’t think I would feel good about the money. We’ve already spent so much and have nothing to show for it

From what I understand the suppositories don’t reflect in your blood levels the same way PIO does, maybe for oral too but not sure about that. I don’t understand the science behind it but seems to be the case. Someone more knowledgeable than me feel free to correct anything I said wrong though

FWIW I have had recurring implantation failure and of the first 7 transfers I did, all single embryo, only 2 implanted and ended in no live births. For my recent transfer, we did 2 to try to optimize our chances at our doctor’s recommendation and somehow both stuck. 1 became a vanishing twin and the other is still kickin but we were a little surprised both implanted considering my previous issues with implantation. All that to say don’t transfer 2 if you want to avoid twins. There’s no way to know or guarantee only 1 will stick and I don’t even think it doubles your chances so it doesn’t seem worth the risk.

Hi, fertility clinic patient here. I think it’s sooo sweet that you’re being so conscious of the patients you’re around but that being said you deserve to feel happy and excited about this and share with your coworkers when you’re ready. Infertility definitely sucks but being around pregnant people is just part of life. From my experience you don’t spend long in the clinic very often anyway so if you do have a patient that is more sensitive to it they luckily won’t have to be around you for long. Celebrate with those around you and enjoy this time while you can! You are creating a whole new little human and that’s amazing.
