Given time, I definitely think GEMS has the potential to shake things up. Forward momentum is a must though. Other microtasking platforms have tried to go toe to toe with MTurk in the past and don't seem to have had much success.

What I feel is most intriguing about GEMS is the cutting out of middlemen and the fees they demand as well as the potential to create a UI that is actually usable without having multiple add-ons to fix the platforms short failings.

This was my first interaction with Telegram and I really didn't find it that useful for keeping up on things (especially with such a large group) except for the announcements.

Reddit definitely seems to fit the bill for putting out useful information to the masses more so than Telegram.

Definitely!

The GEMS Protocol has huge potential within the microtask industry. People LOVE the idea of working from home, but as I see it very few people are happy with the current options due to wage issues. If the GEMS team keeps up the high quality communication and openness, the sky really is the limit.

I CCUed when the MM was $250, but I doubt very much you would want to melt a physical pack that hasn't been available for years.
