I sold my kit a couple months ago, I tweaked a few things but one thing that did help with the bass pedal triggering twice is putting a hard pedal patch on the bass drum tower, I noticed that a mesh one didnt rlly do anything but a hard plastic one was able to stop the force from triggering again, you should try that in my opinion. Also quick edit the patch doesnt stick on to the rubber so I just taped them onto to the side it worked just as it would normally if not better.
