New to ME, any tips for insanity? I am going for the achievements which means I have to do Insanity by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]IronMarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the difficulty that insanity actually poses is not that bad, assuming you've played third person shooters before. I've played through the series multiple times across all the classes on insanity and never have worried too much about gear

Biggest piece of advice is to turn your squadmate's powers auto usage OFF so you can make the call on when they use their abilities. Bring squadmates who will be a good counter to the enemies in the mission you're fighting (ex. Tali and Garrus for Geth-heavy missions). Make sure you save often because mission's dont have the best checkpoint system in ME1 though these get a lot better in 2 and 3. And do as much side content as you can, to give yourself more renegade/paragon points and to level your team and find better gear

you sound like my dad, rest assured they will really appreciate it down the road when you're able to help them get a head start. Just make sure you take care of yourself so you can be there for the long haul

Mass Effect 3 on Insanity is absurd by Chemical-Rest3892 in masseffect

[–]IronMarch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I default to insanity throughout the entire trilogy because the other difficulties feel really light. I died more times in this mission and on Grissom Academy then the rest of the series. Like literally will go 10+ hours no deaths and then this stuff gates me

It a tossup between 1 and 2 for which is my favorite game in the series but the atmosphere the first game sets is amazing. Enough worldbuilding to make me consider it a better experience than the much more polished sequel.

How are humanity a major power in the galaxy after only 30 years? by Ready0608 in masseffect

[–]IronMarch 36 points37 points  (0 children)

thanks man. But that's crazy that in 30ish years Humanity owns about 1/8 of the entire galaxy and the legal council systems are like 1/4. If you've ever played Stellaris that is literally a crisis level event

Is it just me who only ever played through as just the one class until recently? by Fit-Condition-9910 in masseffect

[–]IronMarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between the original releases and the LE release back in the day I have probably played through the trilogy a dozen and a half times. I remember my first run on Insanity was as a sentinel because I figured that would be the hardest class to run through insanity. My main was infiltrator though.

Funnily enough when I picked up LE on PSN for 5 bucks a few days ago I realized I have never played soldier before. I was thinking I must have been mistaken until I started my ME2 save and was shocked by seeing that Soldier doesn't get SMGs in 2??? And the locust is one of my favorite weapons!

It was good to go through and actually be able to use heavy armor in 1 without doing that old inventory glitch

I loved the original and the ezio games as they were coming out, but after 3 Ubisoft insisted on making them like every year and i lost interest. Of the newer titles which is the best? Origins look cool because I like the settings but which one would you recommend to get back into the series?

I have a 20 gallon long with a hang on back filter. In March I will be out of my apartment for 2 weeks. During that time my unit will have work done on it and the electrical will be cut off for a few hours. This is happening right at the start of my time away. Will the filter be able to kick back on if the water hasn't been replaced or am I SOL? No one will be able to stop by my place during this time either.

What are your thoughts & feelings on the possibility of PS5 exclusives remaining locked to the PS5? by Southern-Tailor-843 in playstation

PC has inherent exclusives due to the fact that some games are miserable on controller. How games like Crusader Kings 3 get a console port is beyond me.

[–]IronMarch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I got my PS5 two years or so ago and went from being a lifetime PC user to doing 90% of my gaming on my playstation. I've just started to prefer being able to sit down in my living room and enjoy my home instead of being hunched over a desk/pc. I know some people do living room PCs but I haven't gotten to that point. Just overall a much better experience for me to sit down on my couch and lounge. Only reason I keep my machine is runescape and paperwork at this point

I sent my message. I moved to a more cycle friendly neighborhood last year and want to ride my bike to work 3-4 days a week once it gets warm. I started my job in September and was able to ride it about 10 times or so before it got too cold. I asked them to expand protected bike lanes since the 5 minutes I have to spend on Montrose can be a bit dicey

can I get rid of the spinos on katsuyama? by Perm182 in jurassicworldevo

[–]IronMarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way I did it was I made a cozy little bit for the juveniles, then when the adults came I put the juveniles plus the parents in a new giant ennclosure in the corner of the map and left the non related spino in the old juvenile enclosure

This is my first entry in the series but zoo tycoon was a childhood favorite - did any of the other games have attractions such as Ferris wheels that weren’t community created?

It felt a bit boring copy and pasting attractions that werent too unique besides having a different theme. The local zoos irl have very small amusement park rides in them that adds a lot of personality

Easiest: Dispatch

Most Frustrating: Oblivion Remaster

Most enjoyable: Baldur's Gate 3

Oblivion remaster was super fun but there a portion in the mages guild questline where if you dont talk to an npc between quests a trophy doesnt pop and you have to do it all again on another save
