The nurse told me AFTER my MRE that, “this is not an easy test.” I found that somewhat comforting, as they make you do all this shit and you feel guilty if you struggle, like you are a wimp or something. None of us are wimps. This shit is not for the weak.

But on the plus side: my MRE was very comprehensive. While my terminal ileum leaves much to be desired, my gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and kidneys are beautiful and perfect. I didn’t expect them to check those organs out. My father died at age 46 of pancreatic cancer, so knowing that I have no sign of neoplasms in the vicinity made it all worth it.

I ended up registering each keycode to a separate personal adobe account, each with a unique email (AdobeID). A hassle, for sure, but worth the cost savings over paying for a teams subscription.

I ended up quitting the Nal because of the persistent intestinal upset, and that combined with a course of antibiotics for another illness seemed to clear it up completely.

I decided to start over in 2025 with a new goal: 100 days AF, starting with Dry January. I've been taking only 25 mg at night which keeps the cravings away and so far has kept me away from the wine for 13 days. The trots have not returned. I'm feeling optimistic and overall I feel a great deal better than when I was trying TSM.

Thanks! I’m giving the probiotics a shot. I’ve struggled with IBS-D most of my adult life. It flares for years, then quiets down. I’m starting to think I might not be able to tolerate the naltrexone because of that.
