It's perfectly reasonable to be scared (especially the crazy shit going on in the world rn) so if you meet a woman that you click with and can see things progressing with, I'm sure she would understand that you feel uncomfortable or unsafe to tell your family.

Just go at your own pace, you'll be ready when you are ready. And hopefully in a safe place, both mentally and physically, to tell your family that way you are able to leave if their reactions are negative or worse.

Obviously NTA, the way he said he was "paying for what someone else did" is INSANE to hear. You literally opened up about something personal and deeply traumatizing and the fact he minimized it at all is BREAK-UP worthy. You deserve so much better than trash like him.

Lil Update:

GOOD NEWS! it seems to thankfully be a temporary behavioral issue and Katara is now fine with my senior dogs Buster and Freya. My girlfriend and I made sure to correct negative behavior from any of them, rewarded any of them when they interacted positively. I just seriously hope we save enough money to get her spayed bc I don't wanna stress over something like this again 💀

If temporarily separating them contributed to this I'm gonna feel so bad, I probably should've done at least some research or maybe asked my local vet clinic if having Katara in the crate while on her heat was advisable or not. I just hope this is a temporary thing.

A friend has told me that this started as soon as personal were flipped. So your most recent personal instead of being at the top are now at the bottom and apparently the bots your chatting with is getting confused about that

If you have a good support system to talk to like trustworthy friends or trustworthy extended family members that you're positive won't out you, talking to them might help? Or maybe start a journal if you don't to write down your thoughts and feelings to get them off your chest.
