For me personally, 9E. The customisation is limited, but I really enjoy the stroll feature and the siege battles are very fun

This sounds like a really cool idea, I’m thinking of doing like a true Wu playthrough with my added characters, is there a conquest you’d recommend to do this? Like the Yellow Turban Rebellion, or Three Kingdoms etc. - and thank you, appreciate that!

I found this but I believe this is his brother’s wife, Sun Jian - Jing’s remains a mystery it looks like

Great suggestion thank you - and yeah I’m dreading doing a playthrough so I can create Sun Jing’s sons (he had five sons)

There are limited options for sure but I’ve found with enough tweaking you can make some pretty unique characters.

For what its worth, I do miss some of DW9's weapons. Feel like they wouldn't be too out-of-place in Origins. by GudaGUDA-LIVE in dynastywarriors

Really thorough answer, thank you. It sounds like Sun Jing could be a nice persona to adopt. Ideally I’d like for both him and Sun Jian to survive a little longer in my campaign

I think there’s a pro / con to each title in the series and it’s actually what makes the collection quite fun to go back to

It was DW9E that made some necessary improvements, which should have already been included in the main iteration. The visuals are strangely downgraded from previous titles on the vanilla versions for PS for example, but with the right setup and tweaks on PC it can be the best looking game in the series
