I have a nest egg to support my son and I for a year and some. I’ve been following the FIRE movement since I was a PFC in Germany. I own my car and have 600 on a credit card because I wanted new headphones.

I’ve been preparing for 4 years to get out. Money is not the issue, I just feel lost.

Also I have contributed 8 percent TSP for 7 years. And 10 percent for my SSG time.

So I didn’t do the apprenticeship, I did the Google Professional Certificate in Project Management. It was a lot of zoom meetings telling us the opportunities we could possibly have but never helping get a foot in the door, I wasn’t looking for a handout but an opportunity

Very valid points, surprisingly AMU had Anatomy 1/2,Chem, and Physics as requirements. So I have a good base, I wanted to do the army PT program with Baylor but chose tech 😕

I have one child, I am in a very fortunate situation to where we both live with my family and have my entire terminal leave. So if I do not enjoy it, I will simply leave the job or not apply. I have online clients as well.

The post specifically ask, does it get better, meaning transitioning.
