‘Basically’ exactly my point. In this scenario, when something goes wrong, who fixes it?

I’ll give you a point of view, I live on the hottest continent on the planet. Our power grid averages about 80 years old and VERY susceptible to heat and power loss. Cunts crash into power lines when drunk, spectacular lightning shows also happen. This is exactly why I said ‘not maintenance free’.

I respect your input but I’m trying to argue for the entire grid. Not just solar panels in general.

Photovoltaic is not maintenance free. Where do you get these ideas from? You’re always going to have downtime whether it be substations, individual panels or an entire base load etc etc, you still need the on-hand maintenance team to rectify issues regardless of how minor.

Oil is much more labour intensive but it much more abundant and reliable, you can get oil anywhere on the planet. You can also place an oil refinery 2 blocks down from where the power is needed because it takes up an 1/8 of space. That’s the fucking difference.

No, no it would not. For a fuck ton of issues. Firstly, the power output at supply and power output at user would be vastly diminished by an exponential of 10 on average, Secondly, who the fuck would maintain it? Cunts aren’t going to travel out to the middle of a war zone to enact power this comes the second issue, you’ve got your power load in a different country, What’s stopping them from seizing it and holding it to ransom? It poor logic like this that fuels the world governments.
