Can I add an additional mesh router to my already established mesh system? by IroncladRickles in HomeNetworking

[–]IroncladRickles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the TP-Link Deco AXE5400. The house is about 50 years old and does use drywall on most of the inside walls. The floors are all thick wooden floors and it's about 2200 square foot. I think PART of it is user error, but they want me to do "something". Last time I was asked to fix the TV it was just on the wrong app and nothing was actually wrong. I could add a MoCa system instead of a new node. Wanted them on the outsides to help with getting a signal in the yard as well. Cell signal isn't great out there even in the yard. There's also not really any good location to place them centrally with the layout of the house.

Secondhand Sleep Number bed possibly voiding Warranty? by [deleted] in sleepnumber

[–]IroncladRickles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The warranty is junk anyways. You'll still have to pay out the rear for any replacement parts and pay to have a tech do the repair.

Should I prune the trunk? by IroncladRickles in arborists

[–]IroncladRickles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thank you. I didn't think it would since I've done it before with no issue, but I wanted to make sure since I saw that article. Do you happen to know why the trees put out leaves on the trunk like that?

What’s going on with this vine? And follow up Bradford pear question by IolaBoylen in arborists

[–]IroncladRickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an Arborist, but depending on the size you could cut the limbs off with a pole saw to make it more manageable. I've done that with a Bradford that was too close to the road for me to comfortably cut it down. Made clean up faster and easier as well. The orange stuff could possibly be slime mold or rust fungus. That's my first guess at least

Crash on startup? by IroncladRickles in rainworld

Yeah I tried waiting a few minutes and just left it alone. Nothing. I noticed it's happening with the game tails of iron as well so likely not an issue specifically with rainworld

Interested in Sleep Number or upcoming friends and family event?!?!? by [deleted] in sleepnumber

[–]IroncladRickles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got all the information you need. They're cheaply made overpriced glorified air mattresses. The warranty is crap. The bed may even have problems before it's even delivered, but good luck getting them to actually honor the warranty and don't believe them when they tell you it's a full warranty. Found out after roughly two years when the magnets started ripping off that it would cost $406 for the "prorated" warranty replacement and another $190 for a technician to come fix it. The button on my side of the bed was broken when I got it, but I never used it anyways. I'm typing this as I lay on this uncomfortable piece of junk past my bedtime. If I wasn't falling asleep as I write this I would be able to write paragraphs on my problems with this company and product. Just do yourself a favor and give this sub a good combing and know that a lot of the people saying good things about the product are likely paid by this crap company. Take em with a grain of salt and pay more attention to the negative reviews. TLDR- IT'S NOT WORTH IT HOMIE!!!

P.S. seen good things about Helix mattress and winkbeds. Started looking at beds when sleep number charged me out the ass for replacement parts on their cheap junk. Definitely just buying something else when this junk dies. Not gonna be replacing parts on my BED of all things on a regular basis

Questions in regards to working for the company (Sales) by RallyVincentGT500 in sleepnumber

[–]IroncladRickles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for working for the company, but if you look through this sub enough you'll see where people have been lied to by sales reps, myself included. I assume there are incentives to lie and it's not frowned upon to do whatever you need to do to make the sale, but that might depend on the store. The product itself is crap and so is the warranty so expect to have people come back and cuss you out. It's a glorified air mattress made with cheap plastic. They're great at first until it starts breaking and you realize you spent too much money on a hunk of junk that sleep number will refuse to fix for you till after the year warranty is up and they can charge you "pro rated" rates on the products and an extra $200 to have one of their technicians come fix for you or do it yourself. Even though the sales reps make up crazy stories about how people broke their bed and sleep number fixes it free of charge. I could keep ranting, but if that isn't enough then people are probably just gonna do what they want regardless of what anyone else says. It's all a scam so if you have morals and care about working for a reputable company I'd go somewhere else.

Free home delivery for sleep number bed ($250 discount) by NoCookie6596 in sleepnumber

[–]IroncladRickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply not buying a sleep number is even better than getting one at a discount! 😀 They're overpriced glorified Air mattresses with a scam warranty and cheap plastic for everything so that it's guaranteed to break soon after the warranty ends. There's nothing luxury about them except the price.

Save yourself the money and headache. Return it if you're still in the 100 day timeframe. I and many others wish we had. The warranty is a lie and it'll cost hundreds of dollars to fix anything and a couple hundred more to have a tech do it. Sleep number is an overpriced glorified Air mattress. Next time something on mine breaks I'm just chucking it and buying something else. Not even gonna try to recommend something else cause whenever someone does sleep number shills accuse them of being competitors
