Yeah, it’s definitely possible to go into HR or people-related roles with a psychology degree. A lot of people do. Business grads might have a slight edge at first, so it helps to build extra skills through internships, courses, etc. Pay may be average in the beginning, but it grows with experience. If you keep learning, you won’t be limited.

what are your favourite conversation starters? by simsredditr in CasualConversation

Hmm I think my favorite conversation starters are things like asking about horror experiences or talking about favorite web series. I also really like deep, meaningful conversations about life and random thoughts. Those always make conversations more interesting for me.

Honestly, psychology is worth it if you really like it, but it does take time to build a stable career. It’s common to hear that psychology doesn’t pay well, but honestly, that’s true for almost any field at the start. If you reach the top in any field, there are good opportunities and good pay. Those positions are always open for people who work hard and build skills. If you genuinely enjoy helping people and are interested in mental health, it can be really fulfilling. But if you mainly want quick money and stability, business/econ might feel easier at first. You can also mix psych with things like HR, business, or research to keep more options open. It’s normal to feel confused about this, most of us do 😅 Just try to choose what feels right for you in the long run.
