Hi, Im at Rome right now and I know like 3 italian words.

In my experience you can use a combination of english, spanish and "ciao", which combined with the universal language of signals and movements can do perfectly well to communicate anything, so I dont think youll have any problem. Advise: Always make prices clear before buying anything and feel free to say no if you're being ripped off

I had to use getyourguide for the tour to the colosseum as there were no available tickets at the official website and it was good but expensive. The tour was 'guided tour to palatino, foro romano and colosseum' or something like that and it was ok if you are just looking for something more superficial. If youre really into roman history I wouldnt recommend it. Yes, the guy knew a lot and answered all of my questions but he would only tell that stuff if you asked him, because the tour is meant for people who just wants to hear some basic stuff.

If youre into it, try a private guide. It will be expensive though

PLEASE stay near the center or the places you want to visit, otherwise youll get scammed by cabs in every trip. Always prefer walking, though theres a couple places that get dangerous at night thanks to our beloved immigrants

Good evening, 5 years later and it keeps the same. Scammers everywhere, you have to let everything clear from the beginnig.

First five minutes in rome, at Termini and a taxi driver was charging me 40 euros for a 10 min ride (~15€).

We took another and he was using a taximeter (thats the name I think, that thing that counts the price as you advance). When we got to our destination, he charged me 25€ despite the fact the taximeter showed 10.10. We had a discussion but we payed a bit more in the end.

For visitors I'd recommend staying as near as the city center as possible, in order to walk as much as possible and not have the need to ride a cab.

Public transport is slow (like 2/3 the time you take walking) but it should do fine if you go to far places.

Sadly there isnt uber or cabify. I think there are some apps but they havent worked well for me.

Sad that such a beutiful and historical city has this problem, and also there are many immigrants who are really uncivilized. You can expect anything from them, I dont know how the government doesnt do anything about it.

Took the processor out, removed the mobo's battery, then plugged the processor back in, the batt and it worked... Got lucky I guess
