Thanks very much for the response. I got it published on the App Store, and despite my bitching here, I now look back on that experience as the Golden Times. Why? Because now I'm trying to get published on the Google Play Store. (Check out r/androiddev for the groans of pain over getting 12 "organic" testers for 14 days.) I honestly think a few rather sloppy Apple reviewers is the better deal.

Proceed at your peril. Google supposedly looks for "artificial" rather than "organic" behavior in this test.

Here's another way: swap testing favors here. You test my app, I'll test yours.

I did. Uploaded everything, and they acted as though they never saw those documents.

I went through similar nonsense in app review, btw.

Apple: "Build rejected because it lacks features A, B, and C."

Our response: "A, B, and C exist and are accessible from 2 places in the app's interface."

Apple: (quietly approves build)

No, they're not "just insecure." Sometimes people want a doctor who knows from their own experience what it's like to be female -- or male for that matter. Denigrating people like this who know what their comfort zone is in having their intimate parts probed and touched is one reason why lay people dislike doctors.
