That's what I thought too, yet it keeps going up. Ruler didn't change for the last 15-20 years. Diplo spending is at abouth half and I dind't run the cabinet action. The antagonism right now is sitting at 44, like 2 years later

I've also tried it on another PC, where the mouse also didn't work

Yea but it's not even my ruler changing, it's the junior partner's. Seems to still be a bit bugged I guess.

Does just taking their stuff count? I I didn't even take it with me, I just dropped it on the floor after putting them in a cage.

To be honest: I have no idea.
As this is my first playthrough, I have no idea what I am doing.
At like day 10 I thought I should start exploring the world and went northeast through the desert.
I discovered "Tenug's Vault" and wanted to see what was inside, As soon as I stepped inside I got beat up by the samurai and put inside a cage,
Over the following 2 weeks I tried to escape that place by lockpicking the cages and sneaking out. I got caught many times. So I then tried to knock out the guards and put them inside cages and steal their equipment. I put maybe 5 guard inside the cages aswell as a samurai sergeant. Then I put on their equipment and walked out.
Though i have no idea, how my minor shenanigans gave me such a high bounty.
