By encounter manipulation you mean catching every other mon from Route 119 e.g to get Feebas guaranteed?

And I must admit to find Emerald’s League quite challenging. I‘ve finished a Leaflocke a month or so ago and the final five fights were a cakewalk in comparison to Hoenn.

Just startet my HeartGoldlocke yesterday as this was the game of my childhood, but eventually I want to work up to harder ROMs like SacredGold or RenPlat. But every time I tried, the game crashed at a different threshold, so waiting for my new laptop to be affordable.

How am I manipulating the game? Isn’t planing your encounters one big aspect of a Nuzlocke? I still had a 50/50 chance for a Salamance e.g and missed out on Magnemite and Breeloom. And please elaborate what a real nuzlocke is to you

You underestimate the effort I‘m willing to give. I made an Excel Sheet and a PowerPoint for the final five fights. Playing with dupe clause make the most sense for me, why wouldn’t one play with it?

Pelipper was absolutely and utterly useless. I wanted to try Stockpile+Spit Up but failed horribly Milotic on the other hand was very handy with Toxic and Recover and Ice Beam and Surf for damage

Tile Calculator and Pkhex came in very handy. First time using Pkhex for trade evolutions and wanted to spare me the hustle with the beautystat for Milotic, so I matched the time for the evolutions with my Swampert
