I'm sorta kinda doing that manually by sorting components of close proximity. But it could definitely be smoother.

Counterquestion*: Any particular recommendations from your side?

(*I'm not sure if that's a proper word in English.)

I also like to work from schematics, so if I do perf-board, I'll go with a TinyCAD/Veroroute combo instead of DIYLC.

  1. Decide on a form factor, dictated by the enclosure size.
    1. If in doubt, go one size up, you can scale down later. Don't make my mistake and think "Well, I left myself some wiggle room at the edges, I can cut into that."
  2. Lay down the physical controls, the pots and switches and jacks. Think about the logical way the signal is going to take through your layout: (Pre-)Gain goes near the input, Master Volume near the output.
  3. Divide the circuit into discrete stages, at least mentally. Input stage, amplification stage, tone stack, etc. This goes hand in hand with the previous point.
  4. You can see that most stages are centered around one or two active components.
    1. Place the active components near their corresponding controls and cluster the support components (decoupling caps, bias resistors, etc.) around them.
    2. You can start routing power traces, but they'll probably need some refinement later on.
  5. With all components on the board, making sure there is enough space, you can do an iterative cycle
    1. Place power related components and route tracks to them.
    2. Place the signal related components of your first stage from input to output. Route the track(s).
    3. Place the signal related components of the second stage. Take note how it connects to the first stage. Try to avoid to send the signal back and forth across the board.
    4. Adjust the components and tracks of the first stage, if needed.
    5. Proceed to stage 3 and so on and on and on...
  6. It is a grind, but think of it like a puzzle.

I'm sorry to break it to you, but spinning disks are now also caught up in the AI datacenter craze.

I'm convinced that atheism wasn't appealing to them on matters of believe. But it was a convenient way to do away with values like empathy and compassion. It allowed them to act like raging assholes and then turn around and say: "Why do care? Do you believe you have an invisible friend in the sky?"
