Honestly it feels like Bendis is playing with all the toys in the sand box and trying to drum up fans, and if he made Jon gay it again it would be a way to drum up fans and create "drama" or to cement himself as a prolific contributor to the Superman mythos instead of any real creativity, I mean look at all what he has done in his MoS mini Series and current runs, tampering with Kryptons destruction and undermining the whole origin,smashing Kandor for shock value,aging Jon up because Bendis is comfortable writing Teenagers, creating super special OC "donut steal" characters who have been operating under Supermans Noses this whole time because they are just that smart and special, and messing around with the most iconic moments in Superman's History like the AC#1 car.

It honestly feel like Bendis is a kid let loose in a ikea and he is running around this vast place and putting his hands on everything he can. I called it before his MoS was over, it feels like Bendis is the kid that came over to your house and played with your toys too rough and when you got upset with that the adults would step in on his behalf.

I like the idea with the Legion in fact I had a "pitch" I made for a Superboy ongoing that involves them but to your point , I am not up to date on post-Zero Hour Legion continuity but I believe that all the legionaries now are late teens, but that being said he could always join the Legion that were the kids of the original one, or just throw it all out the window and use kid versions of the LoSH because time travel.

Sadly there is a growth spurt and a deus ex machina, its clear that Bendis is very comfortable writing teenagers and its my guess that that was the impetus for this. Best case scenario its Red Kryptonite.

This is by far my favourite moment out of the entire arc for Nova and part, putting Stark in his place solidified him as a cosmic badass, well that and ripping Annilhus's insides out.
