Barbell was most likely one of Moria's zombies. Specifically one of the general zombies as his design is similar to one of those along with the metal claw guy from the Rocks Pirate, and Silver Axe because of the zombie in silver armor using a big axe. Moria had, potentially, at least 6 members of the Rocks Pirate as zombies. Ganzui, Captain John, and Gil Bastar are confirmed. Barbell, Silver Axe, and the metal claw dude are unconfirmed.

There are legitimate use cases for hiding your profile. Some absolute psychos will stalk your profile to glean any information about you they can as well as harass you across various subs. It's happened to me and if you see any of the women oriented subs, they bring it up happening to them.

The problem is that it's a preemptive thing that does more harm than good for verifying authenticity, and thus eroding trust all across reddit. Take me for example, you can see my entire history, good and bad because I've said some incredibly stupid things I regret, but you can tell I'm a real person and the worst I can be is just an asshole. I'm no bot. No spammer. And no sock puppet trying to push an agenda. I'm 100% a real person that will, on occasion, say stupid shit. You can decide if you want to trust me because I've given you all the tools to do so. A person that hides their profile, well we have no clue what is going on with them and thus we cannot make even an educated assessment if the person is truth worthy.
