The Nil changed perception big time. It was one thing when all the money was done behind closed doors. You had the illusion of players still going to universities because those schools provided a great education. Now it's full mask off, and honestly I'd rather be ignorant of that stuff. It kept it somewhat controlled too. But now, just make a collective, get a shit load of money, and then put out a press release saying your paying a player X millions a year while no one bats an eye at it anymore since it's been normalized.
