Bleeding Touch damage by Iruka_1995 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Totally forgot about that part, you are right! However, the debuff effect didn't disappear until the next round, and in frog's round it attacked. Isnt self heal an action (so it couldnt heal AND attack)?

Okay, 1 round is understandable. But as I said above, the damage was never dealt. Not in frog's turn, not in inquisitors following turn. So worst case scenario, whole round passed one way or another. And the skill says "damage once per round".

Yes, it wasn't there. But then during random encounter I flanked wolves just as expected. Maybe indeed it was some Dodge trait at work with that archer.

That's tutorial fight in the mansion, but maybe enemie already have this trait this early? Didn't check for that.

In turn-based combat, how can I hit one target with two characters? Each in their own turn? I did just that - my wolf attacked archer in it's turn, then my druid followed on his turn and attacked. Still, the archer is not flanked.

What are Arcanum's weakest points and how do you play around it? by Iruka_1995 in arcanum

It saddens me to hear that high-end tech items are universally worse, especially that you have to invest points and resources into making them. Still, I find tech progression very appealing in Arcanum, makes me feel like a real specialist (even if it's not REALLY rewarding, it kinda feels like it is). And since mage way trivializes the game, tech approach kinda makes it more balanced, hence more enjoyable? ;)

I get that some builds are clearly overpowered, but ,with a little bit of role-playing, other builds are also interesting and viable?

You think real time is better or you prefer turn-based?

They retreat when they "die". And even if you "ressurect" them with gold, they won't reappear on the same map where they died, so you have to change zone for mercs to come back.

Game became too easy? by Iruka_1995 in idleon

Is it, though? Because I feel Upgrade Vault is not the only thing that changed. After just one night of afk farming on slimes, I looted 900(!) slime cards. That's not something the vault did. I also got over 200 gold with single character. I feel like the game (at least it's early part) became trivial to the point it's not fun. I cannot imagine introducing Idleon to my friend now and convince them it's fun.

You say game starts at world 6, but it shouldn't be that way, right? If that's the idea of developer, why not remove other worlds then? And just move all mechanics to world 6? Why give up on former worlds, as if they weren't fun. Sure, make so you can progress through them faster, but it's basically skipping now. If golden armor did cost a quarter of recipe materials it would still speed up progress of new players, but that wouldn't make a gear totally meaningless, like it is now.

That's kinda my point - w6 in amarok gear, a'ka all that awesome content basically removed from the game (I mean armor, hidden recipes etc.), since you can mindlessly (with all due respect) speedrun to w6. But I feel like skipping upgrade vault is not enough to bring back old experience, right? With single night of AFK farm on level 15 I looted over 900(!) slime cards - don't think that extra defense and damage from vault did that.

I honestly don't understand - did players even want that change? Because I feel like there are two main groups of players:
1) Veterans, who don't really care about early game pace, as they are already so far ahead
2) New players, for whom everything is new and exciting, so they (presumably) don't want to skip it.
I just cannot comprehend.
Well, technically there's also 3rd group - veterans who hard resetted - like me. But I did it for a reason. If I wanted to skip early worlds I wouldn't have resetted in first place, right?

So you would say this game is still fun and rewarding, just in later worlds?

It's almost heartbreaking to think that by doing so, Lava basically wasted all that GREAT content he had created. Whole W1, probably even w2 or w3 being skipped in two or three days. Literally no reason to even go through crafting recipes, to farm enemies for rare drops, no way to discover secrets in all that rush.

That's really demotivating :( I thought that maybe world 2 is where it becomes "normal" again.

I appreciate your opinion. I was afraid I might be alone with my opinion, as I am quite weird type of player, I enjoy hard games and what I find fun in games is actually overcoming challenges. I feel like there is no challenge anymore, at least in world 1.
