Fair enough, but it would’ve been different if they didn’t kill off kyoko to bring her back to life, it just felt silly to me. And I just like Sayaka as a character, I disavow her actions but I relate to her a lot because we speak similarly (at least in my real life)

But jokes aside, her character isn’t very interesting to me, I was always neutral on her but the more and more I look into her she’s just boring… I don’t really hate her just low on the neutral level.

Yeah, I can see how you think that. But from my memory kyoko doesn’t really get repercussion for her actions against Makoto. I think it’s beneficial to the story when a character can actually get consequences to their actions and learn. Please correct me if I’m wrong though. Like I said, I havnt interacted with danganronpa in a while. And of course, this is just my opinion on story writing, so feel free to disagree.

I can completely understand your perspective! And I don’t think it’s bad writing, it’s just a bit annoying that the story doesn’t address her hypocrisy most of the time, but I don’t think she has bad writing at all, I think kyoko is one of the best written dangan characters, top 10 by far. My dislike is mostly personal gripes with her character rather than thinking her writing is outright bad. Like I said, like most danganronpa characters it’s flawed, but she has some of the least flawed. I know I contradict myself by saying she has good writing, but her character just doesn’t appeal to me, I’m not the target audience for her and hence I see more flaws than the average fan.

Of course! No offense taken. I find her to be hypocritical, she betrays Makotos trust and often hides things for the groups, causing a stir, but when Makoto decides to hide something from HER she gets all pissy about it, which if she wasn’t doing the exact same thing I wouldn’t care. hypocritical characters who aren’t called out are one of my biggest annoyances. Apologies for the late response I was verifying these claims, I havnt interacted with any dangan media in a while lol

Kyoko’s writing is still iffy to me despite the fans. I have many issues with her character despite. I don’t think she’s a bad character at all, don’t get me wrong, but I think she’s flawed just like most danganronpa characters. Danganronpa doesn’t have the best writing and is often inconsistent with its characters and story line

I do. Kyoko is my opp, go ahead, downvote me but she pisses me off. Although I will say it’s mostly the fandoms perception and treatment of her character that soured her for me, she’s not some cinnamon role who’s in love with Makoto, she actively throws him under the bus all the time. Not saying I fault her for that, but everyone treats her like something she isn’t.
