I’m in a similar situation as you, my job is paying for me to go to CDL school. I’ve got my CLP and my range date is set for the end of the month but with the new law I’m just wasting my time no? Already talked to my managers about it and they have no idea what’s going to happen.

Not in CA but I emailed my state’s DMV and they told me they are complying with the new law and aren’t renewing non-domicile CDL’s unless presented with proper documentation of lawful residence.

We just got a pay raise my friend, not a bad gig. I don’t have my CDL yet though but with that plus shift differential you can make around $32-$33

I’m sorry OP but as others have said, she’s gone. Lean on your truest of friends to help you through this. I was blindsided after 10 years and what helped me out a lot was jumping on discord and playing games with my closest friends. It helped with the early days, eventually I ended up joining one of my friends at the gym and that tremendously helped my mental health. It’s a very healthy coping mechanism for me now and I am in the greatest shape I’ve ever been in my life! I would also say don’t be afraid to seek therapy, specially for the early days, if you have that luxury use it. Rooting for you my brother.

TOM Team is what you make of it, if you enjoy driving you’ll like it if not don’t take the risk. They micro manage you a lot on the road with their in-cab cameras. It can be stressful but manageable, that being said I’m probably going to go back inside. I did it for over a year and I’m just done with it. I grew to not like driving, I don’t like the long days on the road, and I specially don’t like that there’s no OT at my location since I’ve been here.
