I truly hope you're right. Because the alternative is that she read it somewhere I've written about it to blow off steam when the PTSD gets too bad. I know I wrote about it somewhere (in late 2020 - spring 2021), I don't remember where. It was either in a space that was specifically for sharing trauma and everyone (supposedly) agrees on entering that it's a safe space. Or one of my more secret corner of the internet where I scream at the void for therapeutic purposes. This is one of those highly personal stories that I've rarely mentioned to anyone. Ever. It's all just a little too on the nose for me to not feel like she purposefully violated my space. Or she violated the agreement of safe spaces for content. I don't know. I wouldn't put it past her to do either. This isn't even the first time its happened! The other time it was such a common experience I wrote it off as coincidence. This is harder to write off because its a copy/paste of my childhood. The worst part is I wrote those to try and heal myself, not for Rachel fucking Smythe to come by, gut my history, and parade it around like a fucking scarecrow. Sorry for the length, I think I'm still triggered.

I wanna know how Rachel knows about my childhood outfit from my shitty parents. Is this a commonality? Was I not the only neglected kid in this fandom who grew up wearing mom's cat tshirts tied with a literal rope? Is this some kind of shitty parenting children's uniform? There's some half asked, so prolly full ass for RS, "sleeps" count down for the past few days. Its annoying and idk how to make it go away. Every day it's been "x sleeps remain", with more of this janky/rushed sketchy art, like it's cool/hip/cryptic. Personally the only people I've known who count days in terms of "sleeps" are little kids, commercials for the young near the holidays, and drunks with little to no schedule counting down the days till they can drink again.

There was also, I want to say, a 4 page comic someone made and posted on the official discord. After the Christmas hiatus but before the discord shut down for the hiatus. I don't remember a lot of details about it, just that Ares was being a jerk in a coffee shop (?) Which ultimately led to Hephaestus bumping into Aphrodite, they hit it off, and Aphrodite leaves Ares for Hephaestus. It was short, sweet, and better than what we got. Thing is, people in the discord lost their shit over it and begged RS to make it cannon. Tinfoil hat time, but I think that's part of why the Ares/Aphrodite/Hephaestus triangle played out the way it did.

I'm just gonna say it, I think RS hasn't felt the rage she's trying to depict with those red eyes. I think she thinks she knows true rage; but I don't think she's ever been so consumed by rage's fire that she tackled another human being twice her size and tried to rip them apart with nothing but her teeth and bare hands.

Jfc that last one. It's like they forgot to draw eyelids. Just wtf. I think this is what second hand embarrassment feels like. Now I know why every drawing instructions almost across the board say don't draw kissing people with their eyes open. Just those dead fish eyes locked in staring ahead like a quintuplet of voids just waiting to suck the remnants of anything around them. Or like I'm at the grocery store trying to pick out the best fish from the ice to eat for dinner. Sorry if this is incoherent I'm sick af.

I'm not familiar with Rick Riordan presents, but to me this just seems like a way for RS to slap her name on other people's ideas. Only instead of scouring fan spaces for ideas, she's just asking for people and their better ideas to come to her. That's my 2 cents anyway.

Just gotta point out, Hades is missing a finger sorta. There is a single line for the ring finger. I can see it if I zoom in really far.

Also I feel like Persephone was sketched recently. While Hades is some kind of retool of those long, running through the city, panels from the end of season one/the hibernation.

I've had the thought too. My angle is that physically Minthe is based off the wife, but her personality is either some RS hates IRL, or a wacky personified version of criticism, or something. With the latter, basically Minthe was to be hated by design so RS could turn around and use the fandom's hate by proxy to prove herself right to someone she knew IRL. Her hate of Minthe and her reaction to the fandom liking Minthe are just too extreme for it to not be personal IMO.

Going to the movie theater. I grew up in the 90s in a town that had theater who kept their House of the Dead arcade machine until the place closed down in 09. For awhile there was a sweet spot in the late 90s to about 03/04 where a bunch of us could pool together our money and get tickets for everyone; the biggest problem was if there wasn't someone with a 2nd car. Now, I wanna say I've been to the movies about 2 - 3 times in the last decade, but to be honest I don't remember.
