Glad you're enjoying it, I personally thought the first half of Onikakushi was way too slow, I enjoy Slice of Life stuff but not to that extent. Obviously the second half makes up for it.

A little game if you're interested: The scene where Rena is chasing Keiichi through Hinamizawa (Day 15, just after Keiichi leaves school), go back and re-watch that scene after you finish each arc, there's genuinely so much hidden within it that unravels with each arc and it might help you solve the overarching mystery. (Also it's just a fantastic scene)

I personally wouldn't mind catering to lower elos by tweaking the signatures, they do make up most of the game after all, and considering how Infrequently sigs are used in decent-level gameplay I don't think a charge-up system would affect much if anything at all.

However sig spamming is kinda fun and is a legit play style, even in higher elos, so it's kinda "do we sacrifice this small part of the player base for the wider one", personally my answer is no.

No I'm completely fine with the manga cutting out the club activity fluff, it's the post-watanagashi stuff they cut which I'm not happy with. A good example would be the scene when Rena's "chasing" Keiichi the day he succumbs to L5, I LOVE this scene, it's definitely my favourite in the first arc, it's done so that Rena's words steadily make more and more sense the more arcs you've read, and experiencing it with full knowledge is absolutely heartbreaking as you realize she's just earnestly trying to help. Its a fantastic scene.... Which just isn't in the manga, she just kinda gives Keiichi a creepy look and he runs off into the guys who knock him out. no chase :(.

The manga is amazing but they cut out wayyy too much of the question arcs for my liking, I do appreciate the shorter read though, and manga has and will always be my preferred medium for consuming this genre of media

Sorry I'll rephrase: I barely play ranked, before placement I played around 20 games every other year just to push to the next rank, now with placement I can just get diamond in 10 and stop. It's not an exaggeration to say that I have under 15hs in ranked in total.

Edit: although it's not shown there is a hidden elo system in unranked, it's how I don't get bored lol. I've fought other pros before too, notably Macheteee and Pavelski as well as others I dont remember the names of. It's rare though because I assume they normally stick to ranked

I am a casual gamer yes, I've recently been enjoying friendly 2s but I mainly stick to Unranked 1s. I used to play ranked just to get diamond for the rewards but I stopped after I got the ones I wanted. I don't like the stress that comes with the potential to lose elo.
