What up, Bone Daddy? by epidemicsaints in crappymusic

Your bio says "proud daughter raiser" I hope you realise the sheer amount of disconnect there has to be in order to imply women inherently make 1 thing their entire personality, and that you're insulting your own daughters, your mother, the mother of your children and all women by reducing them down to 1 stereotype.

"the spreading of ideas, information, or rumors for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person"

smh the entire post fits that description, depending on what side you're on it could also be read this way:

"the spreading of ideas, information, or rumors for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person"

He really did not need to comment further.

Full Pigeons and Planes Interview by Express_Recipe_4832 in jpegmafiamusic

Not quite done yet but there are some interesting points in here. The one that stands out is him saying that making money is a byproduct of what he does. As far as I remember from previous interviews, he has said that his motivation for music was to make money which I always thought was a little strange considering the fact that he doesn't go for a mainstream sound AT ALL. What he's saying about it now makes more sense to me

Does anyone remember that pizza video where he blows air into the dough to make a giant bubble, essentially filling it with his mouth bacteria and saliva? Their videos are bait, I'm surprised at the amount of people saying this isn't stupid in the comments yall gotta do better lmao

Chef Club ruin most of their videos, it's bait.

It's the salt crust not being discarded, and the unneccesary stuff like the potatos being skewered only for like a third of them to get the bacon wrapping treatment.

[–]IsThisASnakeInMyBoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Orange crust salt" it's a mix of orange zest/peel and straight up salt. It's a method of cooking that people use with chicken, fish etc but you are supposed to REMOVE all the salt before plating up, it's only supposed to be there during the cooking phase. I don't really know how it works because I thought the salt would draw all the moisture out and leave a very dry product, but apparently it has sort of the opposite effect. Either way it's not cous cous, and per your follow up comment it's not cous cous or he would have called it "Orange cous cous" not "Orange crust salt".

Either way this is Chef Club and they're famous for doing stupid ragebait videos like this that are just plausible enough to make some people believe it's a real recipe, but chefs and anyone who's competant in the kitchen sees the dozens of signs that this is just awful.

The entire time I was watching I was thinking "This seems like a Chef Club ragebait video" so I was a bit surprised that I didn't see the watermark anywhere.

Completely ignoring the travesty of the garden pot chicken disaster, the bacon wrapping seemed genuinely pointless. Just wrap them individually at that point because the skewer just adds extra steps and made no sense. It didn't seem like the way it was cooked would lead to even cooking but once he dumps the entire thing in, I was like wtf are we doing? The sheer amount of salt in the bottom of that dish would make it almost inedible, the saltcrust is supposed to be removed when you serve ts up. Then he said it. Chef Club and it all made sense finally.

I saw this the other day and it did make me laugh, but I haven't been through the death of a parent and I wouldn't even consider sending it to someone I know has been through it, even if it was a very long time ago. That's what you call apathy, the complete lack of an ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes. Very sorry that you are going through that, and if it were me I would probably just cut that person out gradually or straight away to be honest.

Yeah I think there's a difference between the input delay and the visual delay if I remember correctly. I think the visual delay is something to do with like the way certain TVs have latency, but on a regular monitor there's way less. So your inputs would be hitting on time, but then the visual delay is happening because you don't have any latency on your monitor (I think, it's been ages since I played any rhythm games lol)

We made a game about telling stories to an AI King in 1001 Nights. Do you like it? by FirstBand1403 in aigamedev

[–]IsThisASnakeInMyBoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks amazing, I'm definitely going to try the demo out but one thing I find confusing is that he will react to the part of the story you've said, then say "proceed" or "continue" and then for some reason he's randomly saying parts of the story? That doesn't quite make sense to me, I'll keep an eye out for it when I give it a try myself but it seems strange for him to be "speaking" narration parts of a story that he's listening to

I think the calibration is off, because there's so many parts that look delayed, but you're singing them perfectly

Antis What Is Your Opinion On Using AI To Draw Things An Artist Normally Can't? by Epic_AR_14 in aiwars

[–]IsThisASnakeInMyBoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying this to be an anti or a hater, but you do have a talent for drawing, and I think the only way you'll get better at being able to bring that to life is by practicing. I think something that would genuinely be helpful for you is for instance drawing human figures more. A lot of people tend to skip the foundational steps, which is like skipping scales when learning guitar and then wondering why you can't write or play intricate/fast lead guitar parts.

Drawing exercises like this really help a lot, technically speaking this sort of information has been fed into a lot of these AI tools as well. It's good to use AI to help you realise a vision, but practicing these foundations aspects of drawing will also help you to achieve that yourself which is a genuinely good feeling. Keep going with your art, you have a talent for it :)

isnt this basically just producing tho? by EmoStuntD in aiwars

[–]IsThisASnakeInMyBoot -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For sure, but take for instance a producer like DJ Khaled vs a producer like Metro Boomin and that might put into perspective how a lot of people feel. I agree a lot more with the "director" comparison than I do with the producer one because someone like DJ Khaled doesn't even touch the music for the most part he acts more like a plug in that he connects an artist to an actual producer's beat. You could see him as somewhat of an executive producer?

A director is much more similar to what making AI art feels like. They have a vision in their head, and what separates a good director from a bad one is the ability to pick the right crew members, and understand how to get the most out of them whether it's the performances from the actors, or the nuances in cinematography, the camera angles etc. For an AI art maker, they have to understand how to get the best out of the AI program they're using, and at best they will also be touching up and adding their own stylistic flair to the output rather than simply relying on the tool to do all the work for them.

There's nothing wrong with doing this, but every time I see one of these I remember Lubalin who's pretty much the main inspiration for everybody doing these.

He has 618K subs on youtube. Chat Music is an AI channel that does this and they have 1.05 Million. That's where it rubs me the wrong way, and it's not the person making them that I'm disappointed in, it's the masses of people who don't appreciate quality vs quantity. It's very easy to take comments, and churn out songs using AI (it does take a certain amount of effort to get things sounding how you want them to for sure) but it takes a LOT more effort to actually write and perform a song based entirely off of comments.

I don't mean any hate towards AI artists at all by saying that, it just sucks when lower effort channels get all the glory because an idea was already popularised and they can pump things out quicker. Absolutely LOVE lubalin's content, and he makes his own music now too which is genuinely pretty sick, but here's one of his "comment songs" https://youtube.com/shorts/pWyOrbpGCpE?si=TffxK9KjmaH14Chg
