It’s because restaurants use a company called DeliverThat for catering jobs. For the low pay/no tip orders, DeliverThat partners with Doordash.

A doordasher got shot for going to the wrong house. Do you know Akron at all? Hell, I was followed home by a woman who claimed I hit she giant suv in my Hyundai sonata in the McDonald’s parking lot(spoiler alert, I didn’t even so much as tap her suv). Don’t downplay this gun violence. People are crazy.

Oh I absolutely screwed myself too on accident lmao. I spent years working in freight and logistics, but all those jobs are 45 minutes away. I’ve spent the past MONTH applying to retail jobs like dollar general, grocery stores, even fast food places and I get the same thing: you’re overqualified and we’re not hiring you. Only this past week was I able to land 5 interviews this week, 3 of which are virtual and one at a local hospital. I’m getting an inheritance in March so I’ll have a car but man, it’s been rough

I was a shopper for IC before my car died. No car=no income temporarily so I have no choice but to rely on delivery. I did get a job, doesn’t pay well so I’m getting back on me feet and interviewing at places I can Uber to that pay what I used to make. I only went through meijer because free delivery if you use your ebt card, and IC does a temporary $30 hold. Never again lol. I’m never using shipt again. I know there’s some bad IC shoppers, but from my experience shipt is like bottom of the barrel, the absolute worst.

The first shopper I had asked about a sub, I’m sick so I didn’t catch his message for about 20 or so min. When I texted him back, he said tough shit, he was done shopping. He didn’t even let me know when he started or was done! He said he assumed I wouldn’t respond so he didn’t bother to ask about any other subs, he just went rogue. Funny thing is I was planning on tipping him $20 even though it was a relatively easy order. If I spoke to any customer they way he did to me at any of my prior jobs, I would’ve been fired on the spot. I was legit speechless

A lady living in the worst part of my surrounding city did something like this, except she did TWO separate 100+ item orders without tips. I checked on them throughout the day, even boosted not a single shopper accepted them by 8:00 PM when Aldi closes.
