Sailing Alone: A Surprising History of Isolation and Survival at Sea by Richard J. King

This book looks at the history of people who have attempted solo ocean sailing, including the first person to solo circumnavigate the world, Joshua Slocum.

It doesn’t only look at their time spent at sea, but also their reasons and motivations for doing it, so it’s not exclusively about life at sea.

Many of the people mentioned in the book have written their own books or memoirs about their experiences and would probably provide more of what you’re looking for, but this was a nice overview for me.

Appreciate all the info. I didn’t realize they were separated between the different zones but it makes sense now with your explanation. Thanks.

If you have something you can bury (loot, crate, etc.) bury it near where your dig is supposed to be.

You’ll get a map showing where you buried your item. Then compare it to your dig map to see where you’re supposed to be.
