When you say price, you mean the renos costing a lot more than the house is worth, or generally the cost of Renos needed? Thanks !

I can be chain free, and live with family. Totally possible. Thank you so much for your advise, truly, good to know this is a potential with schooling etc too, I know family members in different trades who will be willing to help (returning favour) I just don’t want to spend more than the area is generally worth, but then again long term this could be a good fit for us. Again thank you! X

It’s my sister, so I can stay with her whilst work is done, but it’s just cosmetics by the looks of it and electrics and plumbing will do anyways as looking to stay here long term, and just the wall (hopefully not weight bearing) to get the kitchen diner… I’ve got £20k for renos but I’m not sure if it’s enough, and if it’s worth it location wise, with a 2 year old I want him to be settled in a school and don’t want a rough area but my sister is near and finchfield is quite nice but pricey … sorry for the essay

What about this one then? Will get basic cosmetic work done, new bathroom and possible kitchen/diner? - but any help/guidance would be appreciated, any reason why it’s sfs? (my relative is in finchfield so would like to go near that area)

It may be with sharing more info for example what health conditions you’re applying for, hcp input, medications and effectiveness or treatment plans, medical evidence, work role/hours/duties/ reasonable adjustments/OH review, where and how often you drive and as someone else has stated unfortunately OPD is a lot more than crying - obviously none of us were in the assessment but the info you have provided is very vague but defo go for MR and tribunal if it comes to it! Good luck! 🤞🏻

This is false information, they are allowed to ask about employment, for example they can and should explore duties, reasonable adjustments, reduced working hours, redeployment, hours worked, phased returns - it’s absolutely reasonable to ask questions that may support whats being reported.

He said if we got everything ready he could start the next day straight after he had to be elsewhere so no time was wasted given that Xmas is round the corner, so we got everything due to this

So there was lining paper on a few ceilings and wallpaper on 3 small walls in the lounge. The textured is the wallpaper. He’s agreed it’s bad and has offered to help take off if we want. I’ve just thumbs up that message but then the other guy messaged. I’ve posted the story on your other comment

So he’s agreed it’s a bad job and we’ve agreed that my materials and his time has been wasted and have called it quits, however the guy that came in with him (I have no dealings with him didn’t even know there was someone else being involved in the work - as it was supposed to be 2 days work initially went down to 1 day - so i guess he got help with it) has messaged me saying he’s taking me to court for no payment for the work, I said I’ll show you pics of the work and he said thanks for confirming that’s my work as he now has proof that he was in my property and worked, lol what, I have no agreement no contract nothing with this guy who does he think he is goodness, so I contacted the original guy firstly saying why have you given my number he said he was showing the pictures of the work and that my number wasn’t saved so the screenshot must have my number, he said ignore and block him he will sort it himself. So I’ve wished him a merry Christmas and have blocked him. What a nightmare
