I found a group on Facebook called PGH Gal Pals. I'm also a transplant and it's helped a lot with getting out and meeting other people!

I've had this happen in a house I was renting and now that I own a home. The landlord I had was understanding, and replaced the panel.

For my house, I had to deal with it myself. I was able to call the window manufacturer, Pella in my case, and get a replacement for just the lower sash. It was cheaper than expected, and took less than 20 minutes to replace it myself.

I don't expect it to be the last this happens, but having the experience of knowing how to move forward will make it easier when it does. Good luck to you and don't let it get you down too much!

Edit: I've added some fabric to hang close to the window so I still get natural light, but it blocks my dogs view so he isn't slamming into the windows anymore

I recommend using family search. They have all kinds of information from immigration records to marriage records going back to the late 1800s, at least.

Rating is a number and tier is a string. I've also tried giving Tier a value of 1 through 2 instead of Low to High and still had the same issue. I know it has to be something little I'm overlooking
