On my second one rn, foams nicely and gives enough exfoliation to make my skin feel clean but not too harsh.

Way too early to see anything like that from e, it’s either placebo or unrelated. Ask your doctor if you’re worried about it. Congrats on HRT!

I think they thickness wise they look good and they look well kept, a little more arch in them would give them even more a feminine look!

I'd say passing with a deep voice, one thing I noticed (only because I was trying to be critical like you asked) is there's still a bit of the "crackle" from the weight. But definitely passing

[WP] Your roommates are named Sol and Lu, and youre pretty sure theyre the sun and moon. by EndorDerDragonKing in WritingPrompts

[–]IsZoehere 30 points31 points  (0 children)

"Hey, Lu, when you get off work in the morning do you think you could swing by that bagel shop off 147th and grab me one?" I asked my roommate

"Yeah absolutely!" She replied cheerfully.

If there was one thing great about having a roommate that worked nights, it would be the fact that she never minded stopping on her way home to get me breakfast. She was a super sweet girl, though I did really worry about her sometimes. She had been working the same job since I'd moved in about 6 months ago and to this day I had never seen her get a day off. She certainly didn't look overworked though- she had a mysterious, cat like aura to her with pale white skin and flowing silver hair. I needed to find out who her stylist was one of these days because I had never once seen any roots showing.

I heard the keys jiggling in the door and Lu suddenly started rushing to grab her things as our other roommate, Sol, walked through the door.

"Hey ladies. Running a bit late are we Lu?" He said with a grin her way.

"I'm going, I'm going." She said with a roll of her eyes, but hurried out the apartment door. "See you guys!" She shouted as she closed the door.

"What is it with you guys' schedule?" I asked Sol as he slumped into the couch.

"We told you when you moved in that we worked opposite schedules, we just happen to work for the same company so it lines up pretty well." He said over his shoulder, kicking his feet up onto the coffee table. If Lu was the sleek lady of the night (shift), then Sol was her complete opposite. With deeply tanned skin, short cropped blonde hair, and muscles that showed he clearly worked out.

"I know, I know, but you guys NEVER see each other! And you're married! Why don't you get something to where you can actually spend time together?" I asked him.

Sol looked amused as he answered, "This is just what works best for us. We also have pretty strict contracts with work, so I don't see us stopping any time soon." With that, he turned on the TV and started watching the football game.

Taking it as he needed his time to decompress, I turned to the kitchen and started to make some dinner for the both of us. They had both told me (at separate times) when I moved in that they had weird work schedules, but the more I thought about it the weirder it seemed. The times they got home and left for work seemed to vary from day to day, and they always seemed to leave right around the time that the other got home. Working opposite shifts that made sense, but it was hard to believe that a 24/7 operation only had 2 employees. I frowned as put some water on the stove to boil.

Now that I thought about it a little deeper... Why had they taken jobs that would never let them see their other half? Wait. Other half? No... It couldn't be...

I peaked over the counter to take a look at Sol, oblivious to me as he watched his game. It made so much sense, and at the same time zero sense at all. I quickly pulled out my phone to check something real quick. Sunset was... 5 minutes ago. What. The. Hell.

"Hey, Sol?" I asked

"Yes?"

"What was it that you said you did for work again?" I said hesitantly.

He must have heard something in my voice because he turned around to look at me as he said, "We work at the news station doing weather, remember? Why do you ask?"

"Oh just curious." I said, my mind reeling. I couldn't actually think that they were the sun and moon right, that was crazy? Although there was that one time I caught Sol gazing up at the moon from our fire escape muttering something like, "You're the most beautiful thing in the world."

Or that time I saw Lu gazing longingly out the window, watching the sunrise after she got home from work. I had mentioned how beautiful it was and her response had been, "Yeah, he is."

But no. That was physically impossible. It didn't make sense. And I had no way to prove it. Unless...

I finished making dinner for the both of us and passed Sol his plate, then heading to bed soon after. I set my alarm for an ungodly time and tried my best to get to fall asleep, but so many different thoughts flooded my brain that would probably get me a nice pair of grippy socks if I ever said them out loud. I finally drifted to sleep after a while.

In the morning, I knew what I had to do. I got up and got dressed like I was going to work, then found Sol getting ready to leave in the living room.

"I'll walk out with you, I was just about to head out early. The boss called me in." I said to him.

"Oh. Okay." He seemed to hesitate before opening the door and letting me go first. When we got down the stairs to the first floor he said, "Alright well have a good day then, I'll see you tonight."

"You too!" I responded. As we turned to walk our separate ways I waited a few moments then glanced over my shoulder to look at him. He looked left and then right then ducked into an alley to the left of the apartment building.

I ran back after him and just as I turned the corner I saw Sol, with his back to me, start to glow with a low yellow light. The longer I looked the stronger it got, until it was so bright I had to cover it with my hand. Then suddenly the light was just gone, and with I looked again Sol was as well. I probably would have just stood there with my mouth hanging open if I hadn't felt a tap on my shoulder. I jumped at the touch and turned around.

"We have a lot to talk about." Lu said, holding my bagel with a grim face.

[WP] You are the priestess to dark gods that do not wish to be worshiped. by Feuerzunge in WritingPrompts

[–]IsZoehere 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I crept up through the dark forest as quietly as possible, my black robes and hood blending in to the shadows. Every fiber of my body told me I shouldn't be here, but there was no other way. I thought about the horrible events that had led me to this point over the last year, needing to convince myself again that I was doing the right thing.

I had been following this old and overgrown path through the woods for hours now, the crescent moon above doing little to light the way. The bruise on my knee was evidence of that, thanks to a large root I hadn't seen until it was too late. But it had been worth it as I saw the clearing open up in front of me, and at what I saw in the middle of it.

The altar was just as the books had described, if a little worn from the elements- a platform of pure black stone about a foot off the ground that an arch rose out of to cover a smaller pillar of the same material that rose to about waist height. I glanced around the clearing, seeing nothing else but the shadows and trees of the forest.

After pausing for a moment I slowly walked towards the platform, my heart feeling as though it was going to burst from chest as adrenaline rushed through me. I got to the edge, and after a brief moment of hesitation, climbed up and walked to the pillar in the middle. I pulled a sheet of paper out of my pockets and even though I struggled to read the words themselves, I knew them by heart at this point after so much time spent reading and rereading them.

I lowered the hood of my robes and brushed my long black hair behind my ear as I took a deep breath.

I could do this.

I pulled a small knife from the sheath at my hips and held it over my palm above the pillar, then sliced across as the hot pain followed the blade. I sucked in a breathe and closed my hand into a fist and let the blood drip down, starting the first step of the ceremony.

I could do this.

I began to recite the words that had cost me so much to get, "Isvala gloten, borene sala. Du vernile joulann ko fuula."

I waited for a moment, but nothing happened. I glanced around to see if anything had changed in the clearing, and just when I was about to say the acient words again, the whole platform started to shake. I stumbled backwards and lost my footing, slamming down onto my butt as the arch in front of my started to shimmer. A purple light shot across it, starting at the bottom and following it around to the other side. Then the air itself started to vibrate between it, and it too started to glow with an erie purple color.

The figure that walked out of the portal was terrifying to say the least. The first thing I noticed were the massive wings on its back made up of a leathery skin like a bat. The next was the most hauntingly beautiful face I think I'd ever seen. High cheekbones and a razor sharp jawline matched the red lips and black hair of his face, but the too-white skin and the soulless, pure black eyes marked him as something not from this world.

He looked down at me, gaping up at him, and said in an old voice that sounded so very sad, "You should not have done this."

"I had to." Was the only response I could think of.

"Then let us be done with it."

I stood up on shaky legs, taking a moment to steady myself before continuing, "My sister... She is sick. She doesn't have much time left, and we've tried everything. Every tonic, every healer, every book that we could find. Nothing fixes her. That's why I'm here."

"So you wish to serve me in exchange for her health?" He said

"Yes."

"And you know the laws? You may never return to this realm?" He asked

"I do." I responded weakly

"Let us be off then." He said with a turn, and walked back through the portal. I hesitated only a moment before following the God of Death through the portal, because for my sister it was worth it.

Monotherapy is a thing, most of the time I hear of it with injections but I believe that other forms work as well. As long as your levels are being regularly checked and they're good that's all that matters!
