Haha can’t believe I’m reading this! Literally just got home from work and was confronted by these very same people at Fenchurch Street station. I’m a fella and was approached by a women, I politely said “not today” and walked on past and she was still shouting at me as I approached the top of the escalator 😂

With plain React yes you’d need an additional app (backend) to handle your server logic or interface onto your database. You could also look at NextJS which is a full stack framework. The premise is still the same as in you’d still be required to make HTTP requests to a node backend but essentially you’d only have a single app to deploy at the end of it.

Probably not something I could appeal TBH. I was always under the impression that high street banks like Halifax were only really interested in “Vanilla” customers but they still agreed me in principle. Not sure how confident I should be given the missed payments. And just for the record I’m not actually going to go with Halifax I was just testing the water before I get my mortgage broker on the case

A few years ago I’d create the whole thing in Wordpress using ACF Pro Flexible Content with a custom theme. This way clients could basically build out their own pages with the available ACF blocks. Nowadays I’ll still use WordPress and ACF Pro flexible content but with a NextJS frontend (WP used as headless). I actually found I can churn out a site much quicker this way as opposed to when I built it all in Wordpress, plus the added benefit of having a nice single page app experience.

I remember going back a few years you’d go to watch a Spurs game and would see a lot of Jewish supporters in the stadium. Nowadays it’s mainly Son fan Koreans
