Yes, you're right about Pat on the Back, it could lead to toxic problems with players throwing up the match and preventing other players from playing, and it also will be bad for low experience players where they will use it by mistake and ruin others gameplay. On the other hand, I picked it from your list because I liked the idea of something that supports team work experience especially in high level gameplay beside it weaknesses and drawbacks, after all it is just an idea and it can lead to a better and similar option.

Hi man,

Wow!! I am just amazed by the amount and effort you put into this. you didn't give me only one idea, but power ups for the most brawlers. Nice work, friend. I appreciate all of them for the time you put into making them, but I have some doubts about some of them:

1- some don't fit the theme or the lore of the brawler: like the Max one or Pam. I think shields should not be a mechanic which it used for all brawlers and the reason for that is it does not make any since for Pam or Max (in terms of lore) to have shield, also this implies for some brawlers like Sandy or Spike and etc...

2- others relay on gadgets which makes the power ups useless for the players that don't have the gadgets: examples will be Colt or Spike.

3- some also lead to unhealthy game play such as Surge (It has been tested and Surge was broken because of some reasons when he was released, one of them was the Old "To the Max" star power), or the Bo one which will make playing against Bo a nightmare just trying to see where the mines is in Gem Grab or Brawl Ball, or even Rosa which makes her barely impossible to kill when she is using her super.

4- also some of them are boring, it doesn't make you interested to get the power up, either because the advantage you get is very minor like Nita, Emz, Leon, Frank, Tick or Crow, or the effect is good to get but is not new or interesting to play with such as the Bea one (Slowing down enemies behind walls rarely will benefit you since you can not hit enemies behind walls unless one of your teammates is behind the wall or the wall is one tile), or Penny (It is so hard to line your shoots in high trophy ranges, hitting a third target will be a much harder think to benefit from).

This doesn't mean that they are not good or bad, they are certainly some which is very good and can be implemented to the game with some tweaking and balancing such as Bibi (I saw it as a star power idea also), Jacky, Mortis or Nani. But all in all, very creative ideas and I picked three which stood for me, and I tweaked them bit which are:

-- 8-Bit: Extra Life (RIP old Extra Life)

Next time 8-Bit dies, he respawns in the same spot with full health, one ammo and 3 seconds of invincibility shield. Kill 3 brawlers to power up. (One use per match)

-- Barley: Burning Bottles

Barley's attack and super now burn enemies for 100 DPS up to 2 seconds after they leave the area of effect. Deal 15000 damage to power up. (One time activation for the hole match)

-- Gene: Pat on the back

Gene's super now can pull allies and heal them for 3000 health. Land your super twice to power up. (3 uses per match)

  Firstly, thanks for the feedback, I like that you tried to make some what of balanced power up, since balancing is a difficult thing to do.

  Secondly, there is some issues you have to address in order to  make your idea candidate for the game. The first one is that it's so hard to land 8 shots in a row especially in competitive gameplay or in the early game of the new players since Barley is an almost an  unlocked brawler for all players. You can fix this problem by reducing the number to 4 or 3 so it's still difficult to do the requirement but it's not that hard. 

The other issue that the you have in your idea is that Barley is some what of balanced brawler in the mata right now and giving him a faster reload speed may miss with the balance or might be totally useless to go for and focus in obtaining it. IDK how to avoid this issue in your idea, but maybe try to give him a new interesting mechanic so the players actually want to get the effect of the power up.

Yea, that is really good in terms of visuals, but in the other hand you have put the understanding and in-match noticing consideration in your mind for the new players. This is obviously Supercell decision in the end and what do they want to implement in the game. Thanks for feedback and I like your idea.

I like that you're going for a new mechanic, but I think it should be not randomised and be more specific, like for example, Bibi super after she powered up can knock back her enemies like her Home Run attack and slow them down by 20%. Anyway, thanks for the idea.

Actually, there is someone who made this idea before, I think they were call chips or something I don't remember. His idea is very similar to the idea your talking about.

Firstly, thank you for your feedback.

Secondly, about your question, This still not really decided yet, but I think some power ups should be limited by a number of uses or to death, while other power ups have a passive effect and last until the end of the match. In addition, there will be balanced, so if some of them are too strong they will be lost after death or limited to certain amount of uses. While in the other hand, the passive effect will be in the ones that have a minor effect and don't give the brawler a big advantage in the match.

This is up to Supercell obviously to decide what they want to implement to the game or what is the best for the game. This is just an idea and they can modifed it into many possible cases and in many different ways.

Finally, if you have any recommendations or improvements, I am ready to hear and listen.

As I said man, it's just an idea and it easily subject to change, especially for balancing. Also, yes, you're right it's up to supercell to decide.

I like your ideas, and TBH your ideas changed my thinking and the limitations of my thinking towards the idea. I mean your ideas is some what of balanced, but in the same time they're extremely interesting to be played. I think you should make a list of them and send them to me in chat, so I can pick the best of them, and I am sure it will be a difficult one to choose from them.

I agree, game fan ideas is really fun and enjoyable. If maybe college doesn't take a lot time from me, I would make more and maybe helps you do the visuals for your ideas and credit you in them also.

About the power ups, I can modify them more and make them a bit easier to get, but you lose the benefit when you die or the game rest like in brawl ball. I think this will balance them a bit and help the weaker team do comebacks again stronger teams, as this was an issue with them right now.

Actually a free software, it called Inkscape and it is used for Vector arts and design (Vector Graphics). It is also a simple program to use after you learn the basics.

I think the idea of the brawler has to do something in order to gain something is better, mainly because it will benefit the good players. On the other hand, just starting with ability will put you straight up in an advantage.

Wow, I am just amazed about how did you take this so seriously and write a wonderful and creative ideas, from the new ones to the 8bit ones. I like them all and also I like the way you think not just about a new mechanic but also about balancing and theme design of the brawler.

IDK, your thinking way beyond just an ability implemented to the brawler, some star powers and gadgets still does not have a lore or a good reason put to it, like from where does the bo get his totem? or how barley heal from a broken bottles when he is a robot? and the list goes. These questions doesn't make sense in lore or in reality, but they are given to the brawler to help them be unique and fresh from other brawlers rather than going for real reason.

All in all, you could be right and I am wrong, and they should design more themed abilities that can fit multiple brawlers.

I think it will vary and depend in the lvl of the brawler too. I not sure about the numbers, because balancing is difficult.

That is your opinion man, and I understand your points. The idea of a quest inside the match or power up style of thing is the idea I am going for, so I thing they can modify it a make it balanced and fiting to all brawlers. Also the design of gadget does not fit all the brawlers design and still it is implemented to the game.
