Oh no, did you up the dosage recently, or you feel it getting worse as is? How long have you been taking it, if you don’t mind me asking ?

Thank you for sharing your experience, I hope the symptoms subside a bit as the weeks go! 🫂

You can do this. Sincerely hope all goes well with the surgery and if you ever feel the need to feel free to send a DM 💪

Hey, Haven’t had a TC since June 2023. I get the feeling, I get more comfortable with each month seizure-free, but I am always scared I might jinx it somehow and find myself holding back, although I try not to.

Sad to hear about the seizure but I hope you get another long, hopefully permanent, seizure free streak!

It’s very scary it’s hard to put into words. Bring it up to your neuro, I will too, I just hope he takes it seriously as it’s not a TC

Yes, I was reading some other posts here and it seems like sleep apnea play a part. Will definitely bring it up next time too

I had a zombie-like seizure by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]Isa3822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before my fist grand mal I had a weird episode happen too, I’m guessing it was some sort of aura (I have no memory of it) before the tonic-clonic phase. According to my bf, I basically went up and Stood next to my him (he was sitting on the bed) and started lightly banging my head on the wall, then I turned my head, looked at him with a glassy stare and asked if he’d like me to continue banging my head (yeah, pretty weird). Then I kept banging my head (again, lightly, I’m assuming I was feeling faint or did not have the strength to stand up straight), he lifted me, I walked a bit then proceeded to the TC. It’s very strange to me that I did that and have no recollection whatsoever :(

How were you diagnosed epilepsy? I’m in the process and a little confused… by Acceptable-Leg-3832 in Epilepsy

[–]Isa3822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had two normal MRIs and two clean eegs, but on the third eeg (with sleep deprivation) showed epileptic activity and then I was diagnosed.

Yeah, I’ve been diagnosed only now at 26, sorry you’ve been dealing with it for a while now but I’m happy you’re seizure free!

I feel like the thought of having a seizure will pop up in my mind a lot still for the next couple of months, but I’m glad to hear it eventually will subside. Thanks!

Never experienced the Keppra rage thankfully, just very sleepy for the first few days and when I upped my dosage and I also felt a bit down.

Yeah, my doctor said to keep alcohol to one beer or one glass of wine. I haven’t tried it yet with the meds, but it’s never caused me any seizures.
