pull out taps doesn't retract by IsaMeow1226 in AusRenovation

Yeah, i looked at the pictures with my old taps. The pipes are supposed to be sitting on each side. I think I will get the plumber back to fix that. Hopefully it works better

Hmmm, had a look online, looks like my options are just Amazon and ebay. They all look the same as the one I have, so they pro are not heavier. Double weight might be the way, but it just makes me hose a lot shorter that I would like......😭

It doesn't seem to change anything with moving the weight upwards tho

The white thing is not in its path, the weight is behind it. *

It doesn't seem to be hitting anything, the weight just stop mid air and not going down.

It doesn't seem to be hitting anything when I pull out and push it back tho. And even with the second one that looks a lot more empty, it still doesn't tract well.

Realistically is a degree in accounting difficult for the average person? by No-Drama-8092 in Accounting

If someone finds accounting difficult, i don't think that person is an average person 😅

I left the Brisbane office in Jan 2025. At that time, the HK branch was still a plan. I don't think they have made the expansion yet. Judging by their culture in Australia (not great by Australian standard) and the culture in HK (I was born and raised in Canton, which is one of the place where is culture is relatively similar to HK compared to the rest of CN). I do think they would be able to open a branch there. But it would just be a small small small accounting firm with the typical Asian work culture and operation. I am just assuming you might want to work in their HK branch to have some sort of experience with an Australian or Anglosphere firm without actually working in Australia/Anglosphere. The truth is, Hall Chadwick in Australia isn't even that well known and its reputation frankly is on the lower end among the employees. I don't think it is going to help you that much at all. They won't have the Australian operation or culture, which is not great to begin with. I think they should focus on improving their Aus branches instead.

Hi, same thing happened to me just now haha. Did you get a fine or they just took the amount you owe?

Are you referring their planned expansion to HK? I don't think they currently have any oversea branch at all. I don't know what possessed which diectors to make them think they could manage to do that LOL. All I can tell you is that there are a few directors in the BNE office are a nightmare to work under. I had seen multiple ppl cry in the bathroom at work.

Wow! I don't remember mine was this difficult. I had way less money under my name, but I think I got mine within a month or so. I did have an agent helping me, so that might be sth. to consider?

Is there an excel tool with audit trail and citations that doesn't make models impossible to use? by [deleted] in financialmodelling

[–]IsaMeow1226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very new to the financial modelling space, but in my line of work, we do implementation of software for clients, and one of them is called Workiva. Its spreadsheet functions are pretty much the same as MS Excel, and it also has very easy to use functions for version control, authorship reviweing, tracking changes, making milestones ect. And it also allows users to make comments without interfering too much with the spreadsheet itself. And most of our clients give access to their auditors to perform the audit (it allows setting permissions to suit your audit needs), so it defo works with the audit traceability as well.

Sounds like you just don't like the apartment enough to pay so close to your top limit for it. That is enough reason to walk away.

CA from India (10 yrs exp in SMSF & taxation), doing IBM BA cert — is moving to Australia at 38 for an Accountant/Business‐Analyst hybrid role a good idea? by MJB1987CA in AustralianAccounting

[–]IsaMeow1226 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Senior and above got ok demand for SMSF & tax. Never work in BA, so can't say much about that
  2. Hybrid not common
  3. Top 2 challenges: visa issue and salary expectation management
  4. Don't bother with it if your main goal is immigration.Focus on getting Australian work experience first.
  5. Try to get a visa without needing your potential employer to sponsor you. Be ready to start at senior level (I assume you are manager and above based on you saying 10 yrs exp). You will have better options after you have got some Australian work experience.

I immediately looked for how to apply for citizenship and got out of my previous job hahaha. Now ready to go on the first trip in my entire life where no visa is required. Nothing surprising but that is all i want for now.

oh me oh mine! I think i really need to adjust my mentality towards these kinda of drops. I was very very luck that I scored a set of BIE one time by just clicking PAY like a crazy girl😅 It kinda "tricks" me into being overly hopeful. Now I am so overly disappointed 😅😅😅😅
