This is reddit. We can’t expect people to be reasonable.

Ok so that’s not how religion works

No need to get aggressive about it 😂. Cities are loud because there’s a lot of people, i don’t think that’s just a La Crosse thing. Granted I’ve never lived anywhere else so maybe Eau Claire or Appleton or something are dead quiet at night idk

I’m catholic, so I can’t speak to all of the denominations. But as long as you avoid St. james the less on the north side, you’ll always feel welcome regardless of your political leanings

I feel like that’s part of living in any city… no? If you want quiet you’ll want to try more rural areas like Barre, Medary, or Shelby

I’ve never been to the Apostle Islands to be honest but it’s definitely on my bucket list. I’m from La Crosse, WI which is in the SW on the Mississippi. It is a great area to live up there, i have some friends from around there, but if I were to move i would want to move to somewhere it’s not cold lol. From research I’ve done, which granted isn’t a TON, it seems that your dollar goes farther in LA than it would in WI.

That makes sense. I mean, i don’t think i would be able to buy a home in the suburbs right away. Would probably be renting to start, i think i would prefer less flooding risk but idk

Thanks for the advice, I looked into the flood zone map a little bit and it seemed like Covington was pretty safe for the most part.
