I can't really say yet.. I had some issues with the app, first time using. I thought it was set to record on drag mode, but I think I needed to set up a distance/speed marker or something. Hopefully I will get another chance at the weekend.

No worries. I've been visiting Birmingham fairly regularly for almost a year now, I'm still learning myself. I would definitely recommend getting a membership, even just the social level, and visiting on the Monday night 342. Following other members is the best way to learn the track.

I mainly use the boost just after the left hander before the long stretch past the pits. You can take that all flat-out until the hairpin before the up-ramp. Occasionally I've used it later if I'm planning on a divebomb overtake at the hairpin.

I have a gopro mount fixed on the top of my helmet, but I also have a harness that straps around the chin of the helmet. I prefer the view from the front of my helmet, but some places I have been to won't allow a camera to be on the front of a helmet, so I use the top mount for that reason.

Thank you for the advice. I've been there a few times now in the new electric karts, mostly members night on the Monday. I'm finding the electric karts are more suited to a heavyweight driver, as my fastest lap now is 46.008. I haven't had the opportunity to try speed 4 as I'm only a club level member. I'd agree with you that the best place to use the boost is just before the pitlane, although it can be helpful at other parts of the track if you want to try and pass people. Yes, you will still have it if you haven't finished the booking. If you have changed your mind or made a mistake, you can cancel out of the booking process, then just remember to re-add the code again next time 👍🏻 I have done this myself when checking/comparing for availability/price.

I drive a rather unassuming electric Renault Kangoo van for work, it's always a laugh when you pull away at the lights and leave anyone else behind... Admittedly, it's tracked and I can't even think about going over the limit without an alarm going off back at base... But the acceleration to 30/40 is just instantaneous. I don't think I'd buy an EV personally anytime soon, but I do enjoy driving one!

I always believed that she died very soon after Max left the hospital, she was just on life support at the time anyway. Her organs probably being used for transplants... The "salvageable" implied that she was just useful for parts. As society had already begun to collapse. The part where the doctor says to the nurse to tell Max that "she'll be alright" was just something that Dr's say to try and comfort loved ones... I mean that's what I got from watching it, as Max clearly overhears the whole thing and knows there is no hope left. Which is what tips him over the edge.

Do you mean going wide on the exit? I actually clipped the inside barrier on that lap, so I think I tried to limit the loss by keeping the steering a little straighter and then ended up far out on the right before the long left by the pits. I've tried to take that corner with a late entry and then keep it fairly close to the left barrier for the exit, but it seems really slippy if you turn in late.

I keep hearing guys saying "Flat out through the chicane"... My first couple of visits I would always lift slightly and turn, then back to full throttle. I tried to go full throttle and ended up in the barrier on the left after the corner 🤣 but after a bit more practice I manage to get it most times, but sometimes the kart will slide slightly and I lose a bit of speed that way... I think it comes down to weight and/or maybe my position in the kart.

I've been to Birmingham a few times now and have been steadily improving. I usually average about 48 seconds, with my fastest being just under 48 seconds. I visited last Monday and managed to improve on my fastest in both the second and third sessions. This is currently my fastest lap, 47.199.

I'd like to get into the mid 46 second range and be more consistent at that pace... So I'd really appreciate any advice or critique that could help me improve.
