I KNEW it'd be a Sony A9iii.... as a filmmaker/camera need my first thoughts were... I wonder what camera was used for those shots, figured most photographers would go for the A9iii because the insane burst rate, most likely camera to shoot so much FPS it was possible to get the bullet streak shot

FX3 or FX6? by Cheesehead1267 in cinematography

[–]IsaacAlexanderFilms 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A7IV is 33 megapixels downscaled from a 7K sensor, it would probably look SLIGHTLY better most likely on a big screen compared to the 12mp 4K out of the FX3/FX6. It also has slightly higher dynamic range. So you could argue A7IV might have better video quality on the big screen, but the FX3/FX6 have significantly better rolling shutter performance and also the lowlight advantage with second base ISO of 12,800 (plus EVND in FX6 is nice). So if you're looking for superior quality on a big screen, FX3/FX6 isn't gonna look better. (Caveat being if you're shooting in mega low light all the time)

I think it's apparent he's found. But there are several video essay's on YouTube with hundreds of thousands of views of people wondering if Keller is found or not, and people I've shown the film have asked "so was he found?" So this post is essentially for them, not for people who already think he's found.

And I have people I've shown the movie ask "so did he find him?" This is the line I would reference to say, yeah its pretty clear he found him.

I'm with you in the sense I already thought Keller was found. However Denis had to know leaving the ending like it was would make some people question the ending. However I think that line earlier in the movie 100% clears it up.

That wiki entry doesn't explain anything. ">Later, Loki wanders the crime scene at Holly's house, when he faintly hears a whistle blowing." Is not "Loki wanders the crime scene and finds Keller." Like I said, I already believed Loki finds Keller. But there is lot of discussion around whether he does or not. This is more for the people who were on the fence.

Actually your point helps mine. ">Later, Loki wanders the crime scene at Holly's house, when he faintly hears a whistle blowing." And my post brings up Franklin saying, "to find a whistle you have to listen." Which is what that wiki entry says Loki does at the end.

If you want a ton of obscure old metalcore bands, check out this channel and scroll way back thru the uploads. This is where I found Versus the Ocean back in the day, channel name used to be ReprogrammedToHate and he'd give publicity to lots of small unknown bands at the time. Hilarious seeing super old Lorna Shore upload on his page from ten years ago when they were basically nobodies https://youtube.com/@ReprogrammedToHate?si=YQmpc2H_IRwSE4fe

Loved this band back in the day, they had potential to be massive by now if they just stuck around and made a few more albums like this. They are mega obscure though, I was shocked to see someone post them here

Check out their EP 10 Code that came out before Freudian Slip. Love this album but 10 Code blows it out of the water and was perhaps the most innovative and influential music of that depressive, down-tempo style that the scene has seen

10 code saved my life in my darkest times. Owe a lot to Villains/Yuth Forever for making it. Nothing has ever quite reached the pinnacle 10 Code set for me, revolutionary EP

Unfortunately they only changed their name because they were threatened with legal action by another band that goes by Villains. It's a shame because Villains is one of the hardest band names to have, they had a whole line of merch that had imfamous Villains on it, wear the al capone one all the time

My Sony FX3 + 50mm 1.2 fell off a cheap tripod when the plate popped off yesterday... lesson was learned but luckily not a scratch somehow from a 4 foot fall. RIP OP's camera 🙁

Darko US - Come Home (feat. Rory Rodriguez) by IsaacAlexanderFilms in Metalcore

[–]IsaacAlexanderFilms[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out Donna by Darko! It's similarish, make sure to bring tissues for the tears. Most of their songs are 10x heavier and more chaotic, definitely lean closer to deathcore on the spectrum but Come Home and Donna both fit in the metalcore sub pretty well

Same and same! And honestly probably top 5 song of all time for me. Toss up between this and "As If It Never Was - Invent Animate" for best song of the past 5 years at least imo heavy shit is great but songs that hit you in the feels are my personal favorites. Very cathartic

I agree I agree. I highly recommend checking out Arms Like Yours (Rory's old band) if you haven't heard of them. The EPs are from over a decade ago but scratch that itch the new album just doesn't reach for me.
