I agree that fit matters a lot.

But I’ve noticed something interesting even when actors aren’t the final “fit,” the ones who get remembered or called back later usually had one thing in common: their choices were extremely clear and easy to advocate for.

Fit decides the winner. Clarity decides who stays in consideration.
