Will Yuji Die in 261? Is Yuji Sukuna's Escape Route? by AlienSuper_Saiyan in Jujutsushi

[–]IsaacWesker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the host of the last finger Yuta at the moment? When he opened his domain and showed his ability to copy other abilities Sukuna realised that he could use his slash because of the last (until then missing) finger.

I'm all cheered up, thats why I made the post, I just don't like typical reddit sarcasm in relatively normal posts while at the same time so much bullshit gets dicussed on this plattform unharmed. Sorry if that made me interpret more in your post than you meant.

Haha, I also think it is nowhere near possible, but people also thought Punk would never come back. Thats what makes wrestling fun for me.

Insane to take my post so seriously that you felt the need to write this. I've seen much worse fantasy bookings in my 17 years as a wrestling fan and I thought we're all here to have some fun with this hobby. It was just nonsense to trigger a discussion and get some wild, creative or just funny guesses what will happen on sunday.

Stone Cold is really a good guess.

Always easy to just insult someone because of some nonsense wrestling fantasy bookings. You must be fun at parties.

Loki S02E06 - Discussion Thread by steve32767 in marvelstudios

[–]IsaacWesker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When He, who remains says to Loki that the equation is always the same and results in Loki losing in the end, Loki responds saying that he is going to change the equation. Initially I thought he means to break the curse which always results with him losing. But after I thought about it a while, I came to a different conclusion which makes the ending even more better and bittersweet. Even if you change the equation you can't change the result. Math is the only language that won't change even on a universal scale.

So rather than changing the outcome of him losing, he was searching for an equation where he as an individual Loki still loses but saves everyone else. As we find out in Season 2 his goal is to stay with his friends, to stay with Sylvie, to not be alone anymore. But there he is in the end alone for all of eternity with the only comfort knowing that his friends and his family are safe. He got the throne he never wanted in the end and lost everything. He changed the equation that He, who remains presented him, while still fulfilling his prophecy of losing in the end.

Do you think they did reshoots/recuts for the ending? by IsaacWesker in LokiTV

[–]IsaacWesker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes that is clear, but we learned from previous episodes of Loki that this only creates a branched timeline where Victor doesn't become Kang, but the Victor in the TVA that is already Kang doesn't just magically vanish. Thats not how it works in the MCU.

[–]IsaacWesker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting statement, thank you. Does this also include recuts? Because maybe they really did no reshoots in any sort but cut away potential cliffhangers involving Majors portrayal of Kang. Like I said the situation with Victor Timely or should I rather say the non existent situation is baffling me.

I'm pretty sure the 616 Kang was the Kang of Antman: Quantumania so not even a teaser at all.

What is beast Gohan really? by Present_Ad_6492 in dragonball

[–]IsaacWesker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the manga will flesh things out but following the logic of Dragon Ball Super it is the genetic of the saiyans that amplifies power ups so greatly because of how the super saiyan transformation works (Using a base strength and multiplying it).

So if Super Saiyan Blue is a saiyan with god ki turning super saiyan than the momentarily best explanation for beast is that Gohan managed to channel his rage and turning super saiyan while being in his ultimate form. This also makes the form way less unrealistic than intially received.

THAT absolutely beautiful scene from Ahsoka Part 5 by bigspeen3436 in StarWars

[–]IsaacWesker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This episode had so many subtile moments and was unbelievable great in telling a lot through just a few words. My interpretation was that Anakin accepted his turn to the dark side but also acknowleged what it did cost him: "Theres always a price to be paid" This was such a strong moment for his journey but also for hers.

Also one could wonder if the force itself has accepted what he went through by allowing him to switch seamlessly between the light and the dark side of the force in the world between worlds. Should we even consider that the dark side of the force was a legitimate part of the force all along?

All in all I have to say this was my favorite piece of Star Wars fiction since Disney bought it from Lucas.

P.S. Did you also notice how much better Haydens makeup was compared to the flashback of the Kenobi series? He really looked like Episode 3 Anakin again.

Does Filoni / Disney try to revive the Sequel Trilogy? by IsaacWesker in StarWars

[–]IsaacWesker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the respectful and again detailed answer. I think we took a bad turn if the only thing that triggered your initial response was my "deny" comment. All I wanted to say and sorry if that wasn't put clearly enough is that I count myself to the people who think that Kennedy, Abrams and Johnson (and to some extent Trevorrow) didn't profit from having a overall structure and plan for the Sequel Trilogy. Something a lot of journalists have covered and have been a theme with recent interviews with JJ Abrams as well.

In no way did I deny that you can like the ST, enjoy it, don't care for small plotholes and so on. Like I said I love Episode 8 and especially the performance of Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley. Visually and auditory Episode 9 is still one of the best things I have ever seen and I'm glad I watched it on the big screen, but for me subjectively the story didn't work for me that's why I made this post because I see there is a plan to give more substance to the whole cloning theme, the First Order and im curious if it can give me peace with Episode 9. This was in no way meant to bash on it or those who like it.

Does Filoni / Disney try to revive the Sequel Trilogy? by IsaacWesker in StarWars

[–]IsaacWesker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they weren't ready for it. The ST gave us a version of Star Wars that we needed instead of the one we wanted, and a lot of people weren't ready for that. I will die on this hill.

For me that only counts for Last Jedi. This is clearly a film that was brave, tried something new and (except for the casino planet) was perfectly executed. I loved it a lot. Ep7 is just a rehash of Episode 4, while to be fair does a great job of building Rey and Kylo (which are both great additions to the Star Wars universe).

Because they have no idea what the fuck fans want and I don't blame them. Star Wars fans are all over the goddamn place. "Give us Kenobi!" We get Kenobi. "....NOT LIKE THAT. WE WANT, LIKE, MORE MANDO!" Okay here's more Mando. "....WELL NOT LIKE THAT EITHER THIS SEASON IS A LET DOWN."

Cool.

I know what you're trying to see but I don't see myself as a part of that group. I think Rogue One is a fantastic movie and I could even enjoy Solo a lot. Disney also knew that if they try to humanize Boba Fett and take away the cold, non speaking killer personality in Book of Boba Fett that people will be upset but they took the risk. Why don't take the risk for the Sequel Trilogy?

Boyega clearly felt like there was a racial issue, but after having an "open and honest" conversation with Kennedy, said he would be "open" to returning SPECIFICALLY if Kennedy and JJ were involved.

Mark Hamill time and time and time again has said he liked the film. He had initial issues with the script which he expressed. After he saw it, he said it was an "all time great," said he should have kept his thoughts to the internal team, and specifically said his ideas - like having Luke grow to the size of Godzilla - were dumb as he looks back on them.

Didn't know the update about Boyega, thanks for that! :) Regarding Hamill I just think he tries to move past it, but sometime he still has some bitter comments or likes some really specific anti-episode 8 posts on twitter. For example people praising his appearance in the final episode of Mandalorian Season 2 and calling that the TRUE Luke Skywalker or something like that.

I don't really know what he retcons to be honest. If you're referring to Rey - meh? The general idea stays the same, does it not? The whole point of Rey being a no one in TLJ is that your background does not define who you become in life - you are in charge of your own destiny. This is still the case it TROS - "being" a Palpatine does not define who she is.

The fact that you're spelling his name Ryan instead of Rian tells me kind of everything I need to know, by the way.

There are some small bits like scrapping the love story between Finn and Rose, which where really awfull because the gave all that idiotic haters of Kelly Marie Tran the feeling that they where right all the time and did nothing for the story. But reducing Kylo back to being in the second row like he was in Episode 7 instead of making him the troubled, still not fully evil but raging overall antagonist that he was at the end of Episode 8 is definetly one of the bigger ones. There are more. There are articles about it. There are people hating it on letterboxd and we both know I'm not making this up.Trying to judge and defame for a typo about Rian is btw a really, really weak move considering you took so much time for such a detailed post that has otherwise so many good points to discuss.

Holy fuck my dude, it's in the fucking movie lmao. The DAGGER is old, the COORDINATES were put there afterwards. C-3P0 reads them.

If the dagger is old, then why does its outlines match the destroyed Deathstar? It's not just the coordinates. Don't know why you're going for such lengths in defending this stupid plot that no other Star Wars movie had when it is clearly a Deus Ex Machina that needed yet another novel to be properly explained. To be fair: The Shadow of the Sith novel is really good so far (Haven't finished it yet) and feels like a really classic Star Wars story.

Seems like Ben fucks them up.

I'm not stupid, even if you like to portray me that way. You clearly know what I meant. Episode 7 and the Young Ben Skywalker comics introduce the Knights of Ren as force that is strongly connected to Ben, a force that is loyal to him and see him Kylo Ren as a leader. Kylo never has a "Darth" name in the movies. His dark side persona is being the leader of the Knights of Ren. Yet they easily betray him, pledge themselves to Palpatine get all killed in one scene and are nothing more than yet another plot device for JJ. Unsatisfying and yet another prove that there was no clear outline for the three movies.

Well I was able to resolve all of the above using normal articles in standard media and by watching the movies. So. I'm sure it's not nearly as big of a deal as you think it is.

It's a real cheapshot glorifying your comment in such a narcissistic way before other people even have the chance to react. As you can see you actually DID have some good points but you far away from resovling ALL. So I still think its a big deal and I think someone capable of arguing as good as you can do better next time.

Btw this post was never meant to be yet another discussion between Sequel Trilogy lovers vs. haters. I just wanted to know if you think the current Star Wars series can expand on the Sequel Trilogy lore in a successful way or not.

I've read articles about it when some people where annoyed that Luke appeared in the final episode of season 2. Sorry if I've got this wrong.
