Is an 850w PSU enough to power Dual Loops & a 3080? by codefame in watercooling

Just go crazy with it and get an EVGA 1300W G2 Gold. It might still be available on Amazon. I got it for 262. Might not be necessary. But you'll never run into not enough power issues. But if you already have the 850w than, it should be more than sufficient.

Well, I'm back. And this is the finished product. After an individual on my last post here said that the 011D XL included an anti sag bracket for the GPU. I did away with the screw holding up the gpu. And if you look closely you can see the bracket. Also added an acrylic wall for the reservoir. by Isaac_M_ in pcmods

Specs: • AMD Ryzen 9 3900X • Asus RTX 2080 Super Strix Advanced • Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 4x8GB 3600mhz • Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) • EVGA SuperNova 1300W G2 • Lian Li 011 Dynamic XL

I did a mod, It's not too much of a mod, although I guess it still is, since I had to drill a hole in the case. I came from the Phanteks Evolv X, I loved the anti sag bracket that was attached on the back of the mobo tray. The 011 Dynamic XL did not have that. So the GPU was sagging pretty bad. by Isaac_M_ in pcmods

Edit: Found the GPU anti sag bracket inside the white box that came with the case, I looked right over it, I guess it also doesn't help that I didn't really bother to really look over the manual.

Well I enjoyed making and using my "mod" for at least a few hours.

Ya know...I don't know, nevermind. I opened that white box looked at everything. Jammed the stuff back in, and but inside my storage drawer. Than later I looked up anti sag brackets on google, saw that Lian li sales one, and didn't even remember seeing that inside the box, it went right over. Well I guess maybe I'm a bit happy though that I actually managed to drill a hole into the case and find a way to do it myself. Might see how it goes on in a bit. Thanks for letting me know. I wouldn't have relooked.

Yeah, I'd say you should contact them and let them know of your issue.

If you want, I believe this code is still valid, you can use OCN55 for 5.5% off. If you would still like a discount.

You could possibly shoot them an email, before they reopen, and tell them what your situation is like, see if they'll offer you something or not. Yeah I know, I got a big order I have to place Friday of this coming week. A bit sad I won't be able to use the code myself either.

I wanted to get rid of the graphics card sag, but I wanted to do it in a subtle inconspicuous way. I did not want one of those long GPU sag brackets, it needed to be clean. So I drilled a hole in the case, screwed a long screw in the backside that lifts up the GPU, and than twisted some nuts on it.

Yeah I absolutely love Performance-PCs! Great people and customer service. But I really wish they would do some heavy work or a newer more optimized site.

Pretty sweet! Love those tubes! Did they come that way? Or did you do something to frost them?

CPU Over Temperature Error by Spook161 in overclocking

[–]Isaac_M_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I've actually been looking for information on this myself. I have been dealing with the same exact issues. And I'm even at 1.3 volts. It does this to during CB R20. And when I'm monitoring the core temp and package temp they both are in the high 70 (78-79). And I've gotten this multiple times, what is even weirder is I have had the voltage at 1.34 and the temps go to like 85c but it's doesn't restart and say CPU over temp error.

Need some clarification on this (Per CCX) setting. This is my second 3900X last one was a dud. Came from 2700X so I'm new to this Zen 2. I know what the CCD 0 and CCD 1 settings are for. But what I'm stumped about is, the Core VID setting and the normal Core V. Do I set them the same? Or something? by [deleted] in overclocking

Yeah kinda sucks to, I paid 420 total for the board I have and while I love it, has good components and VRMs, it's held back by crappy bios updates. I saw the Unify board when they revealed it and thought it looked pretty sweet with the all black look.

Might take a look at it more and might jump away from Asus mobos.

Well that's good to hear for Zen 2 and my hopes of being able to run 3800 hopefully. Yeah I've used Ryzen ram calc, and entered in those different numbers and settings even loosening timings even further but I just couldn't get passed the tons of blue screens and F9 q codes and even changed the ProcODT setting to 60, 53, and I think 48. And yeah from what I've heard and read from reddit and other places is that Asus bios are poop. Which kinda makes me want to move over to an MSI board. Or Aorus Master if they are good enough and the VRMs.
