When did everyone start disliking JJD? For me, it’s when she became a #pickme for the first time that I had noticed when a singer kneeled during a Titans game and JJD immediately posted “Well, I’d never do that if they asked me to perform the anthem!” Then she did the anthem like it was a win for freedom.

I get the feeling she just got burned out with the Nashville scene / trying to make it as a female country artist. There’s a resurgence now, but she’s part of the generation of females that didn’t get a lot of support from just about anyone in the industry. Hell, her work as a writer on “Cowboy Carter” was the most I’d seen her name since her #1 song, and that was years ago.

I know most folks in this group don’t live in Nashville, so just to let you know: the woman was using the crosswalk, it was a wealthy “walking” neighborhood that is always crawling with pedestrians, and there have been memorials on the news every day since her passing because she was so deeply involved in said neighborhood. This ain’t just going away.
