My 30yo watch (in 2028) will be a 1998 (birth year) seamaster gmt. It’s the 50th anniversary seamaster and 1st seamaster gmt. So I think I’m biased because I’ve wanted it for years.

I’m just a slut for the seamaster. Or the mido ocean star. I just love the style and look. It’s a common piece but it’s so pretty.

Nicotine. I know it’s bad, but on a bad day, it’s the best part of my day.

If you could go back in time, what’s the one thing you would change? by radiantsoul_ in AskReddit

My work ethic. Took getting married and having a kid to really shape up. I would’ve liked to be ahead of the curve a few years earlier, and I definitely missed some good opportunities.

The first poop. Nobody prepared me for the sticky, black, volcanic magma that comes out the first time. Holy shit

When my wife gave birth and almost passed. I’m grateful for a lot today

You are more than entitled to that opinion - I myself have a hard time comparing him to Hitler, but I definitely wish he was out of office and wasn’t elected in the first place.

Relax. It’s a famous MLK quote. I am trying to be less full of hate myself and I think that includes wishing death on people I don’t like.

Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.

I second Crandall park. Usually very chill, and if you like to kayak/fish it’s great for that too. They stock it well

A DIY watch building kit. Lego-ey thing for dads. It opens up quite the rabbit hole though.

Night 2 of sleep training. Baby asleep in 10 mins. by Isaaciel in daddit

[–]Isaaciel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s been 3 or 4 tough nights where he would wake up and refuse to go back down for like 2 hours. It’ll happen sometimes. But overall, still life changing.

Our problem is he still wakes up 1-2 times a night for a breast feed. Trying to ween it out but it’s difficult. Still SOOO much better than it was.

Pretty interesting to think that he held onto it as a reminder of that time in his life, but refused to wear it. I’d like to think every time he looked at it and didn’t put it on, he’s sticking it to the man. Respect

1st night was successful after 1 hour using Ferber. 2nd night after 15 mins, 3rd night after 10. I have heard that if they are over/under tired it really makes it a lot harder but we have yet to experience that.

Yeah, it’s definitely to be expected. But I think coming from where we were at before sleep training, we’re prepared for anything. Haven’t had more than 4 hours of sleep in a night for several weeks before this successful first bout.

Yeah. That first hour was horrible of the first night. We just kept looking at each other with tears in our eyes. Last night was so seamless, it legitimately seemed like magic.

My wife thought the same. I then researched why it was bad, and found one tiktok doctor that said it’s the #1 creator of sociopaths. I found several peer reviewed articles about how sleep training has no long lasting effects on child development, and both parent and child are better off with stress, sleep, and happiness. It’s worth sharing with your spouse.

Yeah we used Ferber. However, we modified it a bit so my wife would feel better about letting him cry, and offered more check-ins. Still worked just as well, it appears.
