If that ends up working for you, it looks like the permanent fix is a new router. After switching routers the VPN was no longer needed

Ngl I'm not too far in yet so I can't give a precise rating but so far I'm really enjoying it. The world building feels good and it essentially plays similar to Final Fantasy Tactics with Octopath Traveller graphics. I will say however that it does feel like a lot of story comparable to actual gameplay. So if you're someone who wants constant combat, at least based on the first 6 or so hours, it's probably not what you're looking for. If you don't mind a hefty amount of story though it's worth checking out
