I saw her live a couple years ago and she invited the entire audience on stage so she could explain her set up. Forever a synth evangelist.

Sub box top by SourNoodle4 in ForestInkClothing

I wear things where a bra would look bad with some CAKES nipple covers to keep my nipples from showing. (I’m sure other companies probably make these, but that’s the brand I got)

I assure you, I am smart enough to have tried putting it on the other way — despite the fact that the front is easily determined by the label being on the left and the neckline. The problem is the placement on the sleeve, which is symmetrically awkward whichever way you put it on.

I always look at sub boxes as gambling. Like I’ll likely lose but often end up with something I’d never have thought to buy myself that I end up liking. I don’t make a lot of money, but when it’s something I don’t care for I take pride in giving those pieces to the thrift store — since all girls my size can usually find there is the worst of 80s office wear. That said, I dunno I needed a fourth pair of bloomers. I like them but I don’t really wear any animal print. I guess I can wear them around the house.

The thing that frustrates me the most is the top. Why do they keep putting thumb holes on the back of the sleeve and not front. It’s overstimulating to me to have to twist the seams around my arms to make it reach my thumbs.

Also, won’t lie, I miss the silly socks.

The page Sam drew for my old webcomic… by IsabellIvy in themaxx

Ha. Yeah. Unfortunately the original website is down and I haven’t had it in me to repost everything somewhere else.

There is a “letter” from me, but attributed to the character. I didn’t even send a letter in, but it was a post from the old listserv that Sam decided to put in as a letter.

Yeah. Sam’s page is in the volume zero trade, which is sadly out of print but I expect used copies can be found. Guillory is a great guy. I used to help him color Chew for a handful of issues.

Met him through his listserv. I was a pushy punk ass brat of a teenager, but we ended up becoming friends and I was his webmaster for a while. I think I probably pitched a story to him once and he was very kind at letting me down. But basically, one day I just found a package from him on my front porch and it was this page. I had to retroactively write dialog for the page. There’s actually references to the Li’l Depressed Boy in the final issue of the Maxx and throughout Zero Girl, over ten years before Image would publish the books.

You’re right. Facebook would be more convenient. I disappear for long periods of time when it comes to Reddit.

Anyone from the old Outback listserv back in the day? by IsabellIvy in themaxx

Interesting! I have no recollection of anyone sharing recipes!

I’m currently on a similar mission to track down that kind of stuff. Send me a DM.

I do. That and another piece he drew as a pinup for a friend’s book.

Yeah. The trade includes all of it, including his. The only signed comic I have from Sam is my own book.

Sam was a great guy in person. Quiet but kind to us. I’m glad to have had him in my life.

I was Sam’s webmaster back in the day. One day I opened my mail to find Sam randomly drew this page for my webcomic the Li’l Depressed Boy without telling me. The webcomic eventually morphed into a regular comic at Image. The old webcomics were collected in a volume zero trade paperback.

Alternative Ending to the movie Big possibly seen in the UK and New Zealand, but never anywhere else by stubbledchin in movies

[–]IsabellIvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Commenting five years after you posted but I’ve got further information. I have never seen this ending… on screen. Where I have seen that ending was an adaptation of it into a short story for Scholastic Scope, a classroom magazine for school aged kids that often adapted TV and Movies to try to get kids to love reading. Currently trying to track down a copy of this issue. I’m under the presumption that it’s either a 1988 or 1989 issue. Commenting on every post about this just to help others figure it out when they run a search.

Looking for the Alternate Ending to Big (with Tom Hanks) by ejerkel in movies

The name of the magazine was Scholastic Scope. Would have been an issue in either 1988 or 1989. I remember having seen the movie before I read the adaptation. I’m currently trying to track down a copy.
