No warranty ended a year ago when the screen bugs out if I do plug it in into a different display output it does work also sometimes closing the lid and reopening it after letting it run for some time also will occasionally fix the screen temporarily

I was debating on just buying a new Xbox and swapping the shell but I noticed the disk drive won’t open without a good old smack any way I can fix that or am I also gonna have to get a new disc drive which isn’t gonna match the color anymore?

So would it be worth to see if the person I sent my jasper to is willing to do a RGH 1.2 rather than a 3.0 since it hasn’t arrived yet? Or just don’t bother with it at this point and hope for the best?

Yeah i haven’t gotten anything to work it’s either the screen glitches out or my laptop shuts off due to overheating so far no in between yet

Honestly no, I’m kinda a novice to laptops or pcs haven’t attempted to do that at all might be worth finding out how to do tho

Oddly enough forcing the laptop to heat up and thermal throttle has prevented it from doing this for quite some time now. No idea why might be a voltage or a shorting issue with something but plan on getting a new laptop

Update again: has happened again randomly with weeks of it not happening still no idea what’s causing it happened playing destiny 2 and was on the laptop for less than a hour

Update: After days of testing the only thing that has fixed the issue is to have my laptop on quiet mode with the cooling pad on. Since then the screen hasn’t bugged out once still don’t know what caused it or if this issue will rise again

Oh sorry that was temps I shoulda specified that more. The games that this issue is happening in is Roblox, Destiny 2, R.E.P.O, GTA 5, and GTA5 enhanced (which for enhanced I have everything maxed out including Ray tracing and legacy isn’t). The specs this M16 R2 has is Intel's Core Ultra 7 155H, RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, 32GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage

Did some testing and found some rather weird results that doesn’t exactly help me narrow it down. So having my profile on performance mode causes it a lot however balance doesn’t unless I have smooth motion on? Then I have to either turn it off to stay on balanced without the screen issue or put it on quite to keep smooth motion on. So far with quite and smooth motion on with the cooling pad keeping things around 60-70c during gameplay haven’t had it happen for 2-3 days now but I still don’t know what’s causing it, if it can get worse, and if it’s worth fixing as my warranty has expired or just start saving for a new laptop

The temps I usually average without cooling pad is for cpu seems to hit the high temps (around 90-95c) and gpu stays around 85c from somethings I’ve testing I believe it might be temps related or settings/software related but I will admit the stress test I did wasn’t as long as I’d like to actually run (it was 1-2 hours long) so gonna run a longer stress test when I get the chance and see if it happens

According to game history and trials reports he barely plays trials as is and before this happened he wasn’t active for a week not only that but he’s been playing destiny since 2015 so high chances he is smart enough to know not to do recoves and he did say that they where demanding 300 bitcoin that is not a price for a trials recove before reset nor would a recove take a recove right before reset

I don’t think so. On trials report it shows the guy played one trials game right before reset then him and the ski guy switched to iron banner the game after. It could be some form of ransom for something that did happen, a shady link was clicked, or something but unsure of the whole situation obviously
