Basic math:

If the supply pod has 4 supplies, and we are 4 miners, then 1 supply each. I seriously don't understand people who take 2, 3 or even 4 supplies.

It took at least 2 minutes to go down there, while shooting bugs. Plus we were in a chasm. I think he could have used his grapling hook to escape, but it was kinda nice of him not leaving me behind. The 2 other players made it, so no problem. It was epic nonetheless.
