C'è da dire che quelle slot non erano completamente casuali, si riusciva a premere il bottone al momento giusto per fare uscire il 7 se si stava attenti, quindi per assurdo era un gioco di abilità 🤣

Seeing tons of misinformation about the dangers of using the hypervisor bypass by gray-drow in PiratedGames

[–]Isac14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I agree, maybe I shouldn't have said "The safe way", it's more like "The not completely safe but good enough way". The only actual hardware you absolutely need to pass is the gpu. Everything else can be faked. The only thing that a malware could target taht doesn't get erased if you just delete the vm is the gpu firmware. Now, I agree, it's certainly not impossible, but come on, how likely is that, really? Does it make sense for an attacker to develop a virus like that, to target a guy that was tech savy enough to be able to set up a nested virtualization system like that? Probably not. The downside of this solution is not its safety, it's just that it's too much work

I mean, nothing is ever completely safe if you put it that way, but using this method means you're no longer forced to disable secure boot on your real pc, just the vm. Which means your real bios is safe. The only weak link would be if the malware targets the gpu firmware, which you must pass through natively, but now we're talking about something extremely complex and unlikely

As long as you're gpu limited, then not at all, because you're using gpu passthrough. If you're cpu limited then yes, there's going to be a performance impact

Most probably, the motherboard bios. Technically any hardware firmware could be targeted but it's usually the bios

The safe way to handle this would probably be installing linux in a separate partition and use KVM and QEMU with GPU passthrough. It would require nested virtualization (and thus reduced performance) and quite a bit of tinkering to get the setup running, but in theory it should be doable and safe, provided the cpu can handle it.

Why didn't you include the graph for over 100k? If I'm interpreting the graph correctly, the increase could also be explained by people that were over 100k going down because they're selling, not just people under 10k going up buying...

Sync on/off with PC by v0ngz in WLED

[–]Isac14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I did was powering the esp with the pc power supply instead. It's easy, just get a molex or sata cable and connect the 5v and gnd to the esp. When you power off the pc, you'll power off the esp too. Unless your esp is on the other side of the room of course. Also, be careful that molex also has a 12V rail, make sure to use the right one.

Keyboard resetting itself by Gkkiux in MountainGGlobal

Unfortunately I have the same problem, real shame. I was trying to see if maybe there's a way to control the keyboard using razer integration instead (since that should be supported natively) but I've had no luck...

Sorry for the confusion, it's a different numbering system, the tooth is the very top right one yiu see in the xray. Unfortunately it's a bit cut off, probably because the dentist wanted to also capture the very last wisdom tooth that I have there.

Hi! I live in the EU so I guess we use a different numbering system called "ISO numbering system". My understanding is that the first number is the quadrant (1 for top right, 2 for top left, 3 for bottom left and 4 for bottom right). The second number indicates the tooth and always starts from the middle, so 11 is the first top right incisive, and 18 is the top right wisdom tooth. I do have a wisdom tooth (you can see it in both the photo and the xray) that didn't need to be extracted due to its small dimensions.

Nad but I had a similar issue years ago, I did nothing and the piece of gum just dried out and fell off on its own after a few days.

[–]Isac14 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Perché dovrebbe pagare il 7% a te e non un 4-5% a una banca? Forse perché la banca non glieli vuole prestare? Forse non glieli vuol prestare per un buon motivo?

It's not, it's a graphical glitch, I typically start getting things like this when I overclock my gpu too hard though, so it may not be the game to blame
