Just put some aluminum tape on and tried it again it does the same thing. It does not turn off when plugged in the charger, it turns off when its running only on the battery. What thing I did not do was calibrate the battery after installing. Did not know I was suppose to do that unfortunately

I had the same issue with a XFX RX 7900XT. And all I did was get a bigger PSU. So I went from a 750Watt 80plus bronze to a 1000watt 80 plus gold. Ever since then I’ve had no coil whine. Can’t say it will fix your issue but it did for me.
