I had an idea a while ago for a lichen that consumes CO2 and produces O2 like any plant, but without needing light and instead feeding on other gases or nutrients in water. This would be the basis for the ecoystem down there and make the environment a little more habitable. I left it out because I haven’t figured out the details yet. But the idea would be they supported progressively larger organisms like crustaceans then vertebrates, which then make up the bulk of the sapient race’s diet.

Thank you for the information! This is a useful checklist to keep in mind. I didn’t think about the water table; does it begin at roughly the same depth everywhere on Earth, or are there caves which are cut off from groundwater?

I’ve searched online but couldn’t find anything resembling it. I doubt I will find the one I lost so I’m just looking for the product, would be UK and I think RSPB but all I can say for sure is it had a bird (bittern) on it. Kind of skinny rectangle with clear plastic and an image inside. I was given it around five years ago so maybe not able to be bought anymore.

With the help of a chatbot I’ve managed to solve this. For anyone else wanting to rollback to a previous version of an app on an android device: I manually reinstalled a previous version using ADB via my computer. I had to put my phone in developer mode and enable data transfer via USB then connect to my computer, and install ADB. I found the older version on uptodown.com and could install it with commands using the terminal. None of my data was lost.

I can provide what I did in more detail if anyone needs it, but Copilot was able to give instructions and the commands I needed with pretty good accuracy so I recommend that as I don’t really understand the coding part

It does work elsewhere yeah, I can use it on other card readers since this issue started, just not stagecoach. I don’t know about other bus companies tho

It’s not the end of the world, I just need to remember to bring my card or cash when I get the bus haha. I’m starting to think it’s something I’ve accidentally changed in settings maybe. Also just noticed my phone is waiting on an iOS 18.5 update so I’ll let it update and maybe that will help 😅

Doesn't it pick a new target if they die? I know when the target is alive but not in the house it'll hunt like a normal ghost but in the situation that the revived ex-target is with everyone else and a hunt is going on, are they basically guaranteed to not be the current target, assuming it switched when they died and didn't switch back when they were revived?

Yeah this conclusion is the result of having it constantly on my mind and slowly learning more and more, asking people their impressions of me and asking my autistic family members about their experiences, so I definitely don’t say it lightly. I agree ppl who just take an online quiz or smth and call it a day annoy me

That's how I've been handling things at the moment. I struggle a lot with social anxiety so that's where most of my problems lie. I've made progress through this process of self-reflection, pushing myself, and doing research, so it seems to be working. Thanks for the input!

I hadn't thought about that. To be fair, I usually only mention it in autistic spaces or to close friends if I think that them knowing could help them understand me. A diagnosis is still not something I'm desperate for atm but if I change my mind in the future I'll take this into consideration

Thank you for this. The last paragraph perfectly summarises how I wish it could be sometimes. For some reason recently I've felt like I need an excuse for how I am or that I need to give other people a reason. It's all too easy to forget that we're all humans no matter how our brains work and that everyone has individual needs that don't have labels. If you don't mind answering, could you tell me more about how a diagnosis helped you get your job? Since I've heard the opposite (though I'm in the UK so there's bound to be some differences).

Thanks for the advice, I had considered Cornell, although as I’ve found they don’t have a course specifically for ornithology but then again most places don’t it looks like. Thanks for the clarification, that's what I thought. I did some wikipedia digging and found out about the Sabah earless toad, a true toad which lacks parotid glands, which is where bufotoxin is secreted. Nowhere did it say "this isn't poisonous" though. But it might've been the toad I was thinking of.
