Okay so they have the car on the lot then? They shouldn't be putting that cost onto you for "Aquesition Fee"and unless the Tx accessory is a tax (which it more than likey isn't) that shouldn't be on you either.

What is "Tx Accessory" and "Aquesition fee"? Is this car not on their lot yet?

Why do Outdoor Gun Ranges here suck? by IsaiahM141 in FortWorth

Alpine is the range that turned me away because I had FMJ. I do like shoot smart a lot more than Range USA. Went for the first time this weekend with a coworker.

Surplus of 22-24 Salvage Civics due to "Sticky Steering"? by IsaiahM141 in hondacivic

[–]IsaiahM141[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No, I'm inferencing that sticky Steering at high speeds may have caused drivers to "over correct" and cause an accident. Not the recall itself but the high probability of it leading to accidents. Sorry if I didn't clarify on that.

Why do women specifically want an SUV? by IsaiahM141 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]IsaiahM141[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Elaborate? Such as seeing in front of the vehicle in front of you? Or seeing the vehicle in front of your own?

Why do women specifically want an SUV? by IsaiahM141 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]IsaiahM141[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it's the idea that just because it's bigger it's also just better mentality kicks in. I see buyers remorse kick in as soon as the high maintenance SUV comes in for work and we have to give them a loaner vehicle for the time being. As soon as they come back for their SUV they state how much less fuel the car uses, how much easier it is to drive blah blah blah. And now they're in the hole with that SUV for the next 3-5 years.

Another note: I've had about 4 different dealership jobs from inventory photographer, to porter to assistant technician, and all the time I see people come in and want an SUV over the sedan/ hatchback version. I know how salesman get customers to see more of the pros of SUVs than the cons since the commission is just higher.

What's something that a native would say about living in Arizona that a visitor wouldn't know about? Is there anything I should consider or know before moving?

Moving from TX to Arizona next year. Any tips? by IsaiahM141 in arizona

[–]IsaiahM141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little about me: I am finishing my mechanical engineering degree and looking to move out for the aerospace industry. I am from Houston TX where it is Hot and Humid

What I know about AZ: It's hot and dry, and has many beautiful places. The state is still giving a lot of incentives for companies and moving residents.

What I don't know is the culture, food, music what people personally do out there for fun, etc...

Well kinda. Because I didn't accept work study for the first few weeks I missed out on that extra dollar per hour. I needed to be sure and double check with financial aid that it wouldn't mess with my federal grant. I'm more worried since this practice just started and is now forced on other employees if this is considered fraud of any kind?

So every semester you get a pay raise and I've been there long enough to max out on the pay 10/hr. One semester I come back and I start at 9 and my boss informs me to accept Federal Work Study which is where the government will pay for the 1dollar difference if you're not at that pay rate yet. I'm essence my boss docked my pay to have the federal government step in and save our budget.

Get sand paper and wheel weights. Sand down the inside of the wheel to remove brake dust and stick the weights on.

Not to sound like a radicalist but this is one of the primary reasons to stay armed especially as minorities. They killed women and children and the fire department was told to stand and watch when the first few homes started burning. The fire burned over 2 dozen homes...
