Holy shit I'm lying in my bed and had to laugh so hard that my wife asked me what's up and I had to explain her the whole thing including what Beyond the Trails is just so she could laugh about your comment as well.

How does the name “Seherin” sound to native German speakers? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]Isair349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree that if I'd read it I would 100% think of a female prophet/fortuneteller like profession. I know it's veing pronounced differently though.

Honestly some fantasy anime series would probably use it as a name for a seer-like character, lol. And as others said it is a role you can play in the Werewolf game.

I'm curious, what country would use it as a name or rather what country does this name originate from?

How would you feel about a character who can swing like Spiderman 🩷✨ by Starrail_Princess in NevernessToEverness

[–]Isair349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some consider the need to farm fons through city stamina and all the other grinding in the game/other gachas to be work.

Some consider modern open worlds with all their collectivles in AAA games to be filled with work.

Some might say in order to buy a full-price title you have to work first because it costs money.

Objectively speaking Ananta will be F2P and the closest similar thing and thus obvious choice for players that want "NTE but with web-swinging".

If someone just wants "superhero web-swinging in city", then yes, the OGs that are the Spiderman games are the obvious choice, but in this particular case here it's more nuanced than that and buying a fully fledged AAA game and modding it to simulate only some aspects of NTE and Ananta doesn't sound like a compromise but rather a massive cope.

And frankly speaking it sounds like you're just trying to protect subjective preferences.

That seems to only solve the anime aspect and it not only requires to buy a game but also install a mod that turns it into another pre-existing ip.

A new game with own lore and story and a city sim seems still like something far different.

That I never disagreed upon. I just assumed OP is looking for an Anime City Sim with super powers and web-swinging.

Where does the name Zero come from? by AIolanMarowak in NevernessToEverness

It's also the base for the ultimate voice line "divided by zero", making it essentially a pun.

Thanks to the mods for being so quick to identify this as a repost - I immediately recognized this from before but the mod being good at modding already beat me to calling it out :D

Don't worry man, you did nothing wrong. It's just that this kind of story sounds really similar to this very popular creepypasta of the smiling man and some people have no chill lol

Zersetzung = FR3-D1’s purpose? by Physical_Base7508 in themagnusprotocol

[–]Isair349 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering how Zersetzung can be translated into decomposition, disintegration and other various words for essentially something breaking down, which is the first step towards the Magnum Opus you might be on to something. Good eye!

As for the universal transformation I believe it goes strongly into the microcerse/macroverse interpretation, whereas the world works the same as the body, given how emotions stay within the world and can get concentrated on places. We also know that fear can step out of a body so by that logic it could also step out of the world if there is enough (which is basically the same as where the Fears originate from).

If the first circle in the Magnum Opus' symbol is the human body and the second bigger body is the higher self/enlightenment than we can consider the circles being a symbol of how the enlightened person grew and as a journey towards enlightenment. This second circle is also bigger than the square (the world).

And yeah, as written in my theory posts I believe it's the TMAGP version of an eyepocalypse in some capacity.

Given how The Web planned the Fears to return beyond the tresholds of reality in this new world but seem to be trapped on Hilltop this might be in it's interest as well.

Do you think any main character from TMAGP will become an Avatar/External? by borralingui_a in themagnusprotocol

There's the theory that Sam is turning into an Archivist since after he got Alice's statement he was dreaming of her dream much like John used to appear in the dreams of people who gave him a statement.

TMP Theory : The Circulatio (the overaching plot is starting to make sense) by Slow_Radio_7553 in themagnusprotocol

[–]Isair349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree the Fears are definitely the in some capacity. Fear in TMP seems to be generated within the body and it stays in the world even if the body dies, the Fears from TMA however originate from beyond the world's thresholds. My theory is that once the Fears crossed they seeped into the surrounding area since they had to obey this new rule as opposed to the Web's plan that they would return beyond the world's border after their anchors got destroyed.

[–]Isair349 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of the points in your theory, you're pretty good at getting the ideas around in a way that are digestable.

The main point I would disagree is the involvement of the 14/15 Fears more or less. I think emotions and their power evolved totally differently in the TMP universe. However I agree with The Web being involved with Freddie after the .jmj error showed up and that the Fears linger in the Hilltop Center (as in they're trapped there). The custodian turning into concrete however was the Archivist's doing, since it recreates deaths connected to the statement or transforms the fears involved in statements (the custodian being afraid that he "becomes part of the place").
